The Canadian Red Cross just launched a new App for Preparedness. You can click the link for more information. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/canadian-red-cross-app-emergencies-disasters-1.3563487
Or, on our smart phone, do an App search for "Be Prepared".
Have you tried it and is any good?

I diwnlaoded it two days ago. Girl friend down loaded it this morning. Covers about a dozen different scenarios and gives some guidelines on what to do before, during and after the "Event". Also guidelines on putting together a kit and so forth. It is a free app so no harm in trying it.
It will also send you alerts to your phone if their is a pending event in your area (if you allow it to "Know your location". via your phone.
Sounds like a neat idea, I might download and check it out.
