The Gatineau/ Ottawa bridge and the Hawkesbury/ Grennville bridge have been closed to non essential traffic
401 and 417 into quebec have check points and are not allowing non essential travel either.
Quebec has restricted travel into many of it's regions. A few smaller towns have done so also such as St-Donat.
I expect this to be expanded in the days & weeks to come.
I can also see a total lockdown of Montreal if things don't change there. Not a prediction yet, just a possibility.
I am interested to see if this will be coming to Ontario? Will I be locked down to my county because its a pretty tiny county.. lol got meat chicks ordered but they are one county over for pickup.. if I walk across the road to my "rented" land, I am in another county.. if I walk to the end of the road, and go past the stop sign I am in another county.. this could be flippin interesting lol

If they did, I doubt they could post checkpoints on all roads. Main roads yes, but I'll bet you could find the back road "sneak arounds".

What’s already occurring is the use of neighbours to snitch on each other. You watch the rat lines start to be used and all of a sudden you find out someone knows about your little sneak road, the unopened road allowances...the longer this goes on, the more jealous people get.
Mankind is a well known entity and the faster one recognizes this, the better. We have love, hate, envy.....all colliding with each other and anyone who has read or even watched some documentaries, know all about those who jumped at the opportunity to don a nice clean brown shirt and shiny black belt and boots.
As economies tank, people need and jump at the opportunity for a job, they are rightfully and naturally looked upon as the saviour of the family. The son or daughter is now getting extra rations or travel privileges Egos get pumped and away we go on the power trips. Pumped up national patriotism is a powerful tool and if not used wisely, will be guaranteed to lead to power trips and grabs. I am NOT saying we will turn into Adolf land, BUT there will likely be some similar “attitudes”. Not every Canuck is above sinking to petty lows. Human nature is all it is and is well known to any of us who have or had to deal with its many faces. It’s one of the many reasons I have stressed the importance of listening to what governments and their talking heads say or do t say.
So look well to the time you use those back roads, what you show in your yard, how you dress,..
I am reaching the conclusion that travel restrictions will be needed. Looking at what other countries are doing that work, is leaving me with the conclusion that for those coming into this country, forced quarantine should have been implemented. I am also reaching the conclusion that I don't see how they have a snowballs chance in hell of getting a handle on it in the U.S. at this point. I predict they will continue with 1/4 measures for another month, maybe two, three at the out side, then say to hell with it with a attitude of who ever dies, dies.

Sadly, we are still allowing people in and not forcing them into Government controlled covid hotels for 2-3 weeks.
Quebec fiddled around a bit with border controls in eastern Ontario this spring but eventually slacked off,but I would expect them to be reimposed this fall if and when a second wave hits and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if nation wide travel restrictions are not put in place.
East coast had some control measures and like Quebec seemed worried about cottage owners bringing in the nasties.
If cases increase, I wonder if they will shutdown domestic air, bus... before thanksgiving and Christmas season?
Nice western democratic country like Australia is doing this. Now agree with wording or not is not important. What the takeaway is the actions they are deploying and should our western democracy here in Canada go the same route, it’s impact on ones plans to be safe and well fed or sheltered. I am sure the intent is to help control covid but if you are safe and have other plans then being cooped up like a chicken with others who are ill, then you will want to look at this in a serious fashion.
No one should view these actions from a political lens but rather the impact to you and yours. Look well to your alternate locations, access to family, your food or medical requirements and in home inventories.
