So what are your thoughts on the great Reset?

What have you heard and what do you think? What is green transformation that the PM mentions?

SOme of these are just roumors and some have fact....

My concerns:
- Eliminate debt right now with a new global plan will put limitations on freedom and travel....ie you will need a health card that is approved to travel. You can not go places and do things unless you have an id card that is updated and managed by the government.

- Loosing the ability to own a house/land...i have only heard roumors of this in Canada, however after reading Agenda 21 that we signed as Canada. It does mention the government urbanising people and taking property rights away. https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/outcomedocuments/agenda21 (i think thats the right link)

Thoughts? Am i too paranoid?
Thx

You did provide one link and I started to read it, but a few pages in it just became laughable, lots of "should ", "promoting" ,"improving", "developing", "aiming toward" nothing but bureaucratic weasel words and langauge that says a lot, but means little, and that defines its purpose, something meaningless that everyone can agree on. Originally drafted in 1989, and its final form in 1992. In other words this is some over 30 year old document apparently agreed to some decades ago by some governments no longer even in existence, let alone still governing.
I suspect the authours were paid by the word, had big dreams but little understanding. Even the time tables laid out are so far off the mark as to be laughable, I quote:

Objective
7.38. The objective is to ensure the provision of adequate environmental infrastructure facilities in all
settlements by the year 2025. The achievement of this objective would require that all developing
countries incorporate in their national strategies programmes to build the necessary technical, financial
and human resource capacity aimed at ensuring better integration of infrastructure and environmental
planning by the year 2000.

Just the first sentence above shows my point. What is objective, who defines that? if someone or some nation tries to, objective becomes subjective.

"provision of adequate" what a great phrase, implies a lot but says nothing, can be interpreted to mean anything.

"Settlements" I am a settlement, you are a settlement, is the term the same for each country?

And the most laughable of all "by the year 2025, thats 4 years from now

"all developing countries" Define that, I would argue that could include all countries or none.

On the books of most countries are laws long since out of date, not enforceable. View this Agenda 21 as the same.

I take it with the same seriousness as this:

Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material. Leviticus 19:19
Ye shall not round the corners of your heads. Leviticus 19:27

As to Green revolution, or great reset, provide links so I know what you are talking about.

Give a man a gun, and he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob the world.

How can you have a discussion about political decisions that could alter your life without discussing politics? You might as well roll over and expose your throat right now. Sticking your head in the sand is not going to make it go away.

And Agenda 21 is yesterdays news, its Agenda 2030 now. The great "reset" is just like the word "progressivism," they don't want to use the word "socialism," let alone its big brother, "communism," so they come up with these quaint, feel good terms to mask it.

It’s not a matter of politic, nor having one’s head in the sand. The reality is discussing “it” (where there is going to wildly differing views) is the kind of thing that takes a good genuine preparedness site and make us look like doomsday survivalists crafting tinfoil hats in our spare time.

But simply put, assuming that all the world governments are in cahoots to turn all of earth into a global socialist system:

1) what can be done to prevent “it” at individual levels?
2) how can you prepare for “it”?

The reality is, again assuming that this a problem, probably “not a whole lot” is the answer for above. Talking about “it” just get people wound up.

Folks give way too much credits to governmental machines ability to execute a plan. Let’s be honest, most of the world government can’t organize themselves out of a wet paper bag, let alone organize a drastic shift in human way of life as a result of a secret sub-agenda.

KCCO...

You probably can't, but that's besides the point. We don't do politics or religion here. It's been in the terms of service for a long time.
These topics are site killers plain and simple, and I really don't feel like paying hundreds a year to keep it running for a few discussions to close it down.
Perhaps I could set up a section that is a paid subscription area for those discussions, but I doubt anyone wants to go out of pocket.
Keep these discussions on Facebook etc.

Per Heli.
We plan for “it”. Some of the huge takeaways I learnt and observed in my profession were.
Practice situational awareness

Listen to everyone’s story and you will find the smoking gun, but you must be neutral. person in a suit or flip flops, conservative or commie.... shut up and take it all in. Political BS is always there and there are slight differences between one party and another but look at what’s happening. They all pooched the event, our stupidity goes back decades and they still can’t get their head out of dark places. So WE need to be smarter and observe what they are or are not doing and analyze how it will or may in a year.... effect us.

Don’t be afraid to play dumb, be Low key

Look for common denominators. Flood hits or roof collapse from snow, terrorists attack or train derailment.... you need to be able to react fast, get messages out, be able leave or stay and handle things but basic needs must be available. Shelter, water........

Covid response is prime example of people or governments not addressing fundamentals. Concept and obvious availability of Field hospitals / large tents with power, heat......are practical for covid, terrorists hitting a cities energy grid..., ice storms, earthquakes, floods... same for well equipped police force, ems, military.... they should of had all manner of equipment, plans and cross trained personnel. It is a no brainer, IF your honest.

We know politicians and our fellow man can seldom be trusted with a bag of loonies, so we must be informed, use logic, go with gut hunch, in most instances be realistic in our efforts and unless everything is in top shape, leave out the truly wild scenarios because few really have nailed everything down they would like or need.

Do conspiracies exist? Of course they do. Are people laughed at for a perfectly sound theory, yep. In many cases the ridicule is a deliberate means of isolating one. If you look at examples of triple and quadruple agents, you see how one lie can be built upon a number of lies, so determining the truth or motive/ source for what we hear or see can be wildly different then what we imagine.

When I guess at things, it’s based on experience, attempts to understand things with no direct intel, I try to keep personal prejudices out( try hard) and do the best that I can given where I find myself in life..
But yes indeed, one does need to consider words like rest, agendas.... they mean something to some people and are not said for nothing. What they mean to you or the person across the street may vary but they do mean something and if it sounds fishy, it usually because something is “off”.

But like a good system, we must remain grounded. If we strive for that! “It” will have less of an impact on us.

You are 100% correct about the feel good messaging. Like any large corporation, all political parties hire marketing types, lawyers to craft the wording so a lie or truth appears as the opposite. Everyone knows about the use of propaganda .. so for anyone to say they are hearing the truth from the lips of some politician or weasel bureaucrat is lying or delusional. Having investigated all manner of issues, and worked at security for both corporations and governments, they are rife with untruths, deliberate lies, MANY an incompetent staff member to top leaders being dumb or crooks I wouldn’t trust with a penny. And of course there are a few that do try and many a truly good person does try and do their job properly but for the purposes of our discussing covid, readiness levels..... there are indeed some good people and they have indeed put forth good emergency plans, problem is the idiots refuse to act of the recommendations. And this is why we are where we are.

The conspiracy theories come into play because any intelligent thinking person who uses logic can see that the PR baloney we hear doesn’t add up. This is fine and a good thing to ponder and see how it may effect you and yours. Let’s not focus on the immediate but use WW2 as an example or more precisely the 1930’s. Imagine being a Jew. You are an engineer and you read about and witness the rise of herr Hilters party. Ok you say, just a nut bar but they have always existed and you go about your business and firm belief in the message that the gov is solid and in charge and your good neighbor Herr Himller is a wonderful human being.

Then month after month you hear and see people loosing their jobs, some heads being smacked, a store vandalized.... you hear chamberlain met with Hitler and his telling the world all is well. English nobility prancing over to meet Hitler and much smiles and warm handshakes. You hear about Hitler signing a non aggression pact with Stalin but you being smart, have read dear Hitlers Mein Kemph ( I did in grade seven time frame and it was obvious what his beliefs were) and you say why none of these stories add up to what he said in his own words! So what the heck is going on here. Mein gott, I think I am being lied to! We have world leaders telling us all is well, yet the burning, loss of job promotion, beatings... are increasing!

Law abiding citizens have guns seized to help stop trouble from the communists, yet they say, but I am not a communist ( nor a gang banger from Toronto), so why do I need to turn in my hunting rifle? Books are burned, then you need to wear a little yellow star on you cloths.......so on and so on, the storylines don’t appear to match what is occurring. You know there is something going on ( those crazy conspiracy nut cases ) but the local powers at be and even previously trusted foreign leaders are saying all will be just fine, don’t worry!

We all know the rest of the story but would a Jew in 1932 mentioning their doubts with friends be laughter at, even shunned? Of yes they would and so are many today who question the storyline being pushed.

But as we are not a conspiracy board but simply good people trying to be better positioned to withstand various emergencies, perhaps a healthier lifestyle... we try and read the tea leaves so we can perhaps anticipate something bad happening and thus decide when it’s time to head off to the nicely stocked cottage and read a book.

So it’s my humble opinion that if we focus on reading and the interpretation of today’s tea leaves, raising the funny contradictions in messaging we are told and use to judge what we wish to stock up on with the funds we have, to decide when to vacation at the cottage and avoid those pesky checkpoints etc.then we are ok with raising issues or contradictions and not turn into a crazy page of.

everything IS or can be made to look political BUT if we raise what we see occurring in shortages ,impact of propane out east due to rail protests, strikes at ports, the risks associated with governments permitting foreign air travelers to upon landing in canada WITH a covid, to board any number of domestic flights to reach their vacation spot and only then quarantine as being AN OBVIOUS mentally retarded move, then we stay out of politics and conspiracy and stick to the threats and risks we see or hear about occurring then we may avoid being some poor Jewish family finding ourselves standing outside a train being yelled at by some nice government official ( and who was your nice neighbor or coworker before someone else moved into your home and who your children played with four years earlier) telling me that the camp we are heading off to is a wonderful break from dirty city and you will enjoy it. Imagine that Jew standing there and mumbling under his cold breath “I told them this would happen, but NO, I was the crazy person!”

Keep ones Eyes, ears and mind open, discard all notions of honesty coming from any government or corporation, union, medical or pharmaceutical institutions.... there are some truths in the messages but one must never ever take anything at face value and simply trust people or the entity behind them. The nice thing to do is trust but verify, or perhaps the more healthy one being never trust but upon much though and verifications,go very slowly or better yet, let someone else walk into the thick fogs first, then trust and hope you are right.

Ok, I’ll bite, Clarence. So what would the 1930’s German-Jewish engineer supposed to do to appease his concern? Create a revolution? Pack his family and move to Guatemala? Or risk watching and see how things are unfolding...

Heli.
Our candidate is as an engineer in the 1930’s likely better off financially then yourself. Likely came from a family with money, otherwise his chance of obtaining a university degree would be slim. Likely a homeowner, wife didn’t work. Kids in some private lessons. Likely had a decent command of English and perhaps French.

He should have sought out a job in America, England, Africa, South America and if he liked cold dark climes, canada.

At the time, the world was at peace. There were a number of countries one could choose to go to. The stories abound of very well off people, very able to pickup and move. Of course they owned a business and would have taken a tiny hit but they still would have had plenty of money to start over.

But, like a good friend of mine, they simply refuse to acknowledge the dark side of man. They do but they don’t. “Oh we will be fine, normal ebb and flow, stop panicking, there’s always something, we are better off then years ago, oh remember the riots in the 70’s no different then today....”. Perfect candidate for 1930 group think. He would have stayed and found himself having the sound of barking dogs scaring his kids. You, me and many of this board do make efforts on resiliency. He only noticed a shortage of PT wood this summer! How’s that possible? Well he just plods along with eyes wide open but that don’t actually see things. Many a wise and moderately monied person did leave Germany and other parts of Europe, so for those with an open mind, it was obvious enough to them to say we are out of here. You have a garden but you likely have friends who think your wasting time with all that effort, just go to the store...

But with Saul in Germany, he could have hopped on a plane with his money and been very safe and likely even further ahead if he had gone to the US. He simply refused to acknowledge all the very brightly lit signs.

Because non of this is political or tin hat stuff but simply a discussion on the importance of reading the political, financial or social tea leaves and wanting to better Navi the turbulent waters, we can learn from history and with as few prejudices possible, watch and see how the modern day versions of 1932 look like today. Different cut to the pants and hairstyle, cars go faster.... but MO is pretty much the same.

I started to read through Agenda 21 and not sure what any of us can really add to it. None of us are political science or international studies experts (to my knowledge but I stand to be corrected.) So is anything really meaningful or knowledgeable added to it by any of us?

It seems like another UN initiative on the environment? Is there a section someone takes exception to? I don't really feel its something to get worked up about unless I'm missing something. Nothing in it sounded like it was going to significantly change our world, but instead made proposals to address the environmental concerns we have today. Whether they are enacted or not, its a step to address issues that will face us globally. But again, this is not my forte, and if there is something in that document to be aware of I'm all ears.

As for Clarence's rants...he just likes to hear himself talk. Dunning-Kruger. Let him ride. Like everything else he posts.

I have a uncle who really fits the international studies expert, really big on China/Korea including having been able to travel with one of few to get to do a canada-N.Korea tours etc.. Teaches at a U of ? in this subject matter.. and for what its worth, I will in very general terms sum up his main three thoughts

a) it is about dealing with climate change and the fact that everyone will in their own way need to deal with it personally, country wide and world wide pressure.

b) We are a slow podding country and it will be unlikely that our country will move fast and that we will be ahead in some way for that and behind as a first world nation at the same time.. (two examples given.. ahead fresh water/behind oil/gas.. basic's right)

c) Well, C is interesting and shows hmmmm.. both himself and others in the "field" (I have only asked him once and gotten a few other names) feel that the population and the strength of the Chinese/Asian/ even what we call the old "block" was the ability to pivit faster.. there are papers and he has written on it an been published in regards to this..

In layman terms.. Give us 40 acres and we will turn this rig around.. (canadian and other older/british based, need to lead/sway slower) vs the country's that can move much faster and are willing and able to push it forward far more rapidly and harder when needed..

Does that information change anything about this subject.. I don't think so.. I think we will still have peaple who believe it all and think its the huge "reset" I think we will have middle of the road peaple that can see why some things are needed but do not want others and I think there will be others that are fully behind it and are actively pushing to make it happen..

The only real question for me at this time.. is does our current issues based on dealing with Covid, the current and coming economic depression have or will most likely have polorizing effects within our communitys, provinces and countries .. and I think it will.. but I can not vote anywhere but here.. and I am one voice and one vote locally, in my province and in my country. .

So I do not worry to much about it.. I stand by my very old fashion saying.. put your money where you mouth is.. figure out where your money goes.. it speaks louder and more often and in far FAR clearer ways.. Well that's my 2 cents.

FG, agree with your notes on conflicts.
Demographics are rapidly changing, rise of China, collapse of old economy and whatever buttons they push to reset who gets what. Impact on folks like us will depend on where and how we live, what we are willing or forced to “give” up etc to get along with the change.

We will see more controls and less freedoms. That’s my “Kruger” observations

WRT the great reset, this is the next book I will be reading: COVID-19: The Great Reset. It's available on Amazon, and is supposedly what is coming out of the WEF in Davos. I have another book to finish off first, but judging from the Amazon reviews of The Great Reset, it looks like more socialism in our future.

As for Agenda 21, you can actually see it in action in Montreal. Take Sherbrooke St. West of Girouard, and Cavendish Blvd North above Sherbrooke St. On both streets the city painted hash marks down the middle of the road, effectively narrowing both streets from two lanes in each direction to one. That has resulted in traffic jams that the city claims are because of too many cars on the road. No, actually, it's because the city caused the traffic jams by narrowing the roads. They do the same thing by ramming bicycle paths down every available street they can, thus narrowing the roadway for cars. The idea is to make driving such an onerous and frustrating exercise that you eventually give up and get rid of your car. It isn't about what the citizens want, but what the social engineers want.
