I watched it, it was really cool, especially for The Walking Dead fans. The beginning of the zombie apocalypse looks eerily similar to the first episode.

Truman Show meets 27 Days Later but with a per-conceived and controlled outcome. I can't help but wonder if Derren Brown has embedded something deep into our subconscious mind..:)

That's open to debate. But let's look at some things to suggest that it's not fake.

Can some people be manipulated? Yes.

Can some people by hypnotized? Yes.

Was the main person selected, Steve Brosnan, picked from hundreds (or thousands) of people? Yes.

Was the selection process carefully calculated by many individuals, psychologists and Derren Brownand to find the perfect someone most suited for the role? Yes.

Is Derren Brown considered an authority on hypnosis and mind manipulation? Yes.

Is it possible that Derren Brown created the perfect storm in the sense creating an illusion of a doomsday scenario that didn't really happen? Yes.

Through this high intensity scenario is it possible that Derren Brown changed the characteristics of Steve Brosnan? Yes?

Is it possible that Steve Brosnan was completely unaware of the what was really going on the entire time? Yes.

Is it possible that Steve Brosnan changed for the better as a result of this experience? Yes.

Did all of this really happen? If everything I've outlined here is possible then it is plausible that it did really happen. To suggest otherwise would insinuate that Derren Brown is a hoax or fake, spawning a conspiracy between thousands if not tens of thousands of people over the course of a decade through various television and live shows - which I have a difficult time believing.
