I can understand why some of the drugs are on the current list but not the "panic" meds or the Adderall which is for ADD

MONITORED DRUGS
A number of prescription narcotics and other controlled substance medications are being monitored through the Narcotics Strategy.

Prescription narcotics are drugs commonly prescribed to relieve moderate to severe pain. A couple examples of common narcotic medications include:

acetaminophen with codeine (Tylenol® 3)
oxycodone (OxyNEO™)
Controlled substances are drugs listed under Canada’s Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. A few examples of controlled substance medications include:

methylphenidate (Ritalin®)
benzodiazepines (Valium®)
barbiturates (Phenobarbital)
Here is a list of common medications being monitored under the strategy.

So? Honestly kids will take ANYTHING. I completely understand the list. In the end it is a very sad refection on our society.

I guess I am stupid. I had no idea that one of my meds was something kids would take. I always carry a months worth with me but now I think I should change that.

Greetings:

It's not only kids, this is because of the adult abuse of prescription drugs. The adult abuse is way more prevalent than most people think. So one of the things they look at is people with multiple doctors and multiple pharmacies.
