Repeating my post in case it was missed...
Spinkz79 and I went and checked out Richters today - what a great place! We have several options for meeting in case of bad weather so we are going ahead regardless - rain or shine.
Please park on the east side of the building. If it's not raining we will be meeting under the trees on the west side of the building in front of the brick house. If it is raining we will be in the greenhouse - come in the front door and you will find us to the left.
Please be advised that is is supposed to rain. It is quite warm and humid in the greenhouse so dress appropriately for indoors and outdoors.
We'll meet up at around 10 am. The owner of the greenhouse is a very knowledgable man who will do a talk (around 11am-ish) on the top 5 herbs for preppers and will be able to answer any questions. There is NO COST for the meet. However it would be nice if you could patronize the store while we're there. There are lots of potted herbs, dried herbs, seeds and other gardening items for sale - a gardeners paradise!
We will have a show and tell table so if you have anything you want to share please bring it along - it doesn't have to be fancy! I am planning to bring my vacuum sealer and jar attachment for anyone who wants to see it and try it. Spinkx79 is bringing some mylar bags and will do a quick demo on how to pack food. Wilde is bringing some homemade stoves. Please don't be shy!
You can bring something to share for lunch if you like - please bring an ingredient listing - some people have allergies and some of us will want the recipe!
There are fold up chairs available and picnic tables but if you want something more comfortable bring your own.

As usaul computers lie. Checked out the "Google Maps" link and the first lisiting on the left is correct, that where we're going, but the map itself is for a place down by Foxboro near Bellville. No where near Uxbridge (sorry Goodwood). So make sure your headed to the right place.

I dont know if we can post videos on here but if anyone has a digital video camera and a tri pod, maybe we could record some or all of the "talk" for people like "Denob" and other out of towners to watch too.

I was wondering what we are doing for food. Pot luck still on ? Only one person mentioned what they were bringing.
I was going to do a carrot salad but hubby said yucky so now not sure what I should bring
I'm still planning on the potluck! I cheated and bought a coffee cake and some cookies. I'm also bringing some crackers and cheese but that won't do you any good oldschool - sorry 🙁 Carrot salad sounds GREAT to me!!!
I'll bring a sandwich for me and DH just in case no one else brings anything 🙂
There is a water cooler available to us there as well. I'll also bring some paper plates, serviettes and plastic utensils.

Since Anita is already gone to bed, she is an early farm riser, I will answer YES,
come on up and visit.
Just called the taxi in Stoufville and even though the Richters web site says that Richters is only 10 minutes away from the Stoufville GO Station, the dispatcher said it would cost nearly $40 by taxi. So if I can't get a ride, I won't be able to make it.

I am way too busy nowadays with moving up to Timmins area to do normal clear out duties.. LOL
also ... what you will be wearing and or what you look like, easier to pick someone up then!
