ANOTHER UPDATE

As promised here is a snippet of one of the presentations this coming Sunday.

City dwellers and country folk alike are rediscovering the joys of raising their own poultry. Apart from fresh eggs, chicken, quail, and ducks provide fertilizers for gardens, can help with bug control, and even turn over ground. Farmgal will provide an overview of raising poultry on farms, in backyards, and in apartments. Come find out what could work for you.

In addition to the presentations, potluck, and barter table we are planning a super cool door prize and other smaller prizes throughout the day.

I am attaching a copy of the map to get there. The meet itself is at P1.

http://www.prescott-russell.on.ca/images/site/documents/foretlarose/comment%20rendre.pdf

Take Highway 417 to exit 79 (well-marked since this is the exit for Calypso Waterpark). Go through the town of Limoges and follow the sharp right curve in the road onto Saumure Road. Stay on this road — the name changes to Indian Creek — and take the second left onto a road which is also Indian Creek. You’ll find P1 less than a kilometre down this road.

We will put balloons at the turns.

As of today they are announcing sunny with a high of 28 on the day of our meet. And while we are outside, we are under a large shelter so no matter whether we get rain or shine – the meet is a go. Come one – come all and join us for the day or even just for a few hours.

If anyone has questions; you can PM me or Farmgal.

Thinking of driving up for meet ....have a question.
Are you allowed to park over night in an RV on the 401 rest stops?

Thanks

I just found this link to the "rules" for an RV over night in Canada

Here is the list of Walmart stores that you can park in over night.

edit:
This is the link to the Walmart closest to the meet where parking is suppose to be allowed.

That would be great, Denob. Was it the super cool door prize that won you over? lol

Grouchyprepper there is a campground minutes away from the meet. I think the rates for RVs is $40.00+ with services.

We always recommend that folks bring all their own needs, but yes, as Adagio says, we will have some there just in case. in regards to the day, bug spray, water, dishes and so forth.

The meet is just a matter of days away now, the prizes are prepped, the kits made, the big prize is going to be fab, and our confirmed numbers are going up, thank you for those that have confirmed they are coming either here or by pm, looking forward to seeing regulars and at this time, we will have about 50 percent new locals as well..

each year we tend to get at least one surprise from the board that makes it up.. so if you are thinking about it.. see you there..

Anyone selling eggs? I am out and I can't eat the ones from a grocery store.
