Farmgal I am definitely interested in your salves. Especially the last one you gave me. It is a miracle worker. I loved it. Not sure I have anything you are interested in. Let me know if you can think of anything?
hotel room booked 🙂
Yeah!!
My friend and I went to a soap-making class, and I bought most of our supplies today..so hopefully I will have some nice soap to barter. Oh, and my fish jerky has improved since last year 😳 (I didn't realize how terrible it was until I made some better stuff!)

That's really cool. Once you get into making soaps you can't stop. I am looking forward to hearing all about it.
Just bumping this back to the top.
With the presentations have lined up, this is shaping up to be a great day. Looking forward to it.
p.s. We still have two 1/2 hour slots just waiting to be filled. If you have any ideas or want to present, just let us know.
My aunt & god mother has scheduled my uncle/godfather's 60th bday party for Aug 16th.
I will be unable to make the meet. Very sorry about this.
It's coming... and it's going to hurt!

UPDATE: Eastern Ontario Meet August 16th at Larose Forest
With less than a month away things are beginning shape up quite nicely. We have added 2 additional presentations – one on bug out/go bags and another on training your eyes (geocaching), both of which should be quite interesting. And a big thanks goes to Prepher, who has kindly offered to take on the maple syrup presentation. Thanks so much.
As of today we have 6 confirmed presentations (see the attached agenda for further details). All of which will make for a full day of fun and learning. To continue with the learning theme, over the next few weeks we thought it would be nice to provide members with snippets of the upcoming presentations. So stay tuned for these.
This will be our 4th season conducting these meets and if we have learned anything – they are a great networking opportunity. I for one have met some of the nicest people at these meets and have kept in contact with a fair number of them. We have a knowledgeable core group with various skills and access to many resources that have proven to be invaluable over the years. Want to learn more? Come to our meet.
Hi

other.
video record your respected talks
Sorry but I would NOT be interested in videotaping my talks. It might be okay with some folks, but I'm not comfortable with the idea. However, I will make notes and post them here, if you like.
Great agenda! It's going to be a great day, rain or shine = it's at a fully covered area.

I can understand the potential benefits of videotaping the presentations for others unable to attend, however, people come to our meets knowing that who they meet and what they learn remains within the group. Some presentations are open to member participation, even if only through their questions and answers and while we are willing to share some general information via written posts, no pictures (or videos) will be posted.
We are a fairly reserved group and prefer to remain behind the scenes. Everyone is more than welcome to attend (new and old), knowing full well that we are committed to upholding their anonymity.
