What a good meet. Thanks to everyone who came (new and old – near and far) and a special thanks goes to Farmgal and Prepher for providing such informative talks. The food was outstanding – and oh so much of it. I don’t think anyone left hungry. Everyone that came got a small gift – even the kids. And we had 2 grand prizes – one cache bucket full of goodies (not shown in pictures) and another basket of homemade soap and skin care products.

It was warm day but under the shelter, it was more than bearable. I scored some great things at the barter table and am looking forward to put them to good use. I can’t wait for next year.

I know we said no pictures but in the end we couldn't resist and wanted show everyone that couldn't make it - what they missed.

I will have to send in 2 separate posts.

Greetings,

Wanted to thank Farmgal, Adagio, Prepher, Denob and everyone else for such an interesting and informative day! We are the ones who brought along the Greek salad, chips, lemonade, and cupcakes. The fudge from Mark (forgive me if I have the wrong name!) and his wife that was at the bartering table was sooooooooo good! Hope everyone had a safe trip home, and already looking forward to next year! 😀

I quick note of warning. For those who received a mini survival kit as a gift - there will be an aqua tab in each kit. These should be kept out of the reach of children.

I had a wonderful time. Thank you to Adagio and Farmgal for pulling the whole thing together. Thank you to those that spoke Adagio, Farmgal and PrepHer.

My head is still spinning with all of the information that I gained from everyone that I spoke to.

Thank the ladies...I had nothing to do with it this year as I was busy getting ready for the Survival Expo in Niagara Falls.

What an enjoyable day! It was SO good to see old friends again - Oldschool, Farmgal, and Denob - and meet all the new ladies, gents, and baby! Even though the day was super hot, there was a nice breeze under the huge picnic shelter........and I didn't melt.
I learned alot I (and I thought I knew everything, hehehe). 😆
Thanks to everyone for listening to what I had to share.
And especially, thanks to Adagio and Farmgal for organizing such a perfect event!

Denob while you may not have played a “hands on role” at this particular meet your presents mean a lot to everyone. Preparing for an event like the Survival Expo takes a tremendous amount time and effort and the fact that you still felt strongly enough to come to the Eastern Ontario meet (twice- LOL) is a testament to your commitment to the Board. And for this reason we feel that thanks are indeed in order.”

Is it possible you caught it from some place else? The reason i ask is because if denobs' kids (who did a lot of playing in the woods) are ok, then it might be a possibility.
