I am off for a weeks holidays in Algonquin Park with my daughter so y'all behave yourselves while I'm gone!!

My primary goals are to catch up on sleep and read about 20 books that have absolutely nothing to do with anything important! 😆

Talk to you next week!

It has been many (way, way too many to be honest) years since I was last in Algonquin Park.
As a small boy I remember feeding deer by hand and while that is more than 55 years ago the memory is still near and dear to my heart and never fails to bring a smile to my face.
I am looking forward to going there again late this summer or early fall and showing my wife the beauty it holds.
I hope that you and yours enjoy your time there and I wish you the same great memories that I have of that beautiful piece of nature.

We did nearly get eaten alive some nights y mosqitoes and blackflies but camping in a trailer makes life a little easier. I just went to bed to read. I finished 4.5 books. Lovely and relaxing.

We went "bear hunting" one morning along the highway with my mom and dad. We didn't see a bear - we didn't really expect to - but we did see moose, wild turkeys, turtles and a raccoon.

I wasn't as close as it looks - I have a telephoto lens - just saying because moose can be dangerous!

The funniest part was sitting at the campfire with the company of 5 wild ducks and 8 babies. They were obviously fed on a regular basis because some of the mommas would eat right out of your hand. Even MY ducks won't do that!! It was a bit weird - kinda like being at home 🙂

Hurrah for summer - thanks for the kind words!!!

I am definitely envious, and jealous. I haven’t been camping/camping in a literal dogs age.
