Here are two great resources for homesteading information. Back issues, either on CD's or hardcopy are a great investment.
The Mother Earth News - back issues from the 1970's and 1980's are from the height of the back to the land movement and are great!

The Backwwods Home Magazine - another great resource for living off the land skills. Again back issues are a good investment.
