Ontarions - that makes us sound like aliens from another galaxy! 😆
I'll introduce myself. My name is Daisy and I am the single mom of daughters. I've only recently caught "prep fever" and at this point I still have more questions than answers. I'm in the process of moving to a great apartment with an easily defendable entry, a bit of Earth for gardening, and a huge attic for stockpiling.
I'm struggling back from the brink of bankruptcy and am lucky enough to have found stable, decent-paying work in this shaky economy. We've recently lost our home and car and it has been quite a wake-up call. SHTF can come in all shapes and sizes. The next time, I WILL be ready.
Hmmm...other stuff...I have quite a few pets (I'm a sucker), I'm an artist and writer in my spare time, and I recently became a vegetarian for economic and environmental reasons. Also, veggie protein sources are far easier to store long term with variable power sources.
That's all I've got, folks! I look forward to meeting you!
hello. from brampton

Hey there Y2K,
glad to have you in the forum.
The blog site has some new posts going up too now...

Hello from Cambridge!
We're still new to the world of prepping, but we've got loads of enthusiasm and questions.
Hope to learn lots while we're here.

Welcome to the forum Dragonwriter, hope you ask lots of questions, we will all help out as much as we can. There are lots of old time preppers here who are willing to help.
Hello
From Chalk River.
Question..... Where can i purchase Mylar food storage bags in Ontario? Tried ebay canada.
Hi everyone!
I'm from the Oshawa area. I've been prepping for about 7 years.
Pepperdog:I buy my mylar bags and O2 absorbers from www.survivalpro.com - a Canadian company based in Wiarton, Ontario - I've been happy with the products and the communication. Sometimes the orders are a little slow compared to the larger companies but I have no complaints.
My DH bought me a farm for my birthday last year 🙂 He's the city boy! I am the country girl. We raise chcikens and ducks for eggs, sheep for meat and a donkey because she's good protection and very cute.
I have seven children - most of whom have have already left home but don't live too far away so we are prepping for a crowd as we know that we are the place they will come home to if things hit the fan.
Looking forward to getting to know some of you better.

Hey Anita, welcome to the forum. I would love to hear more about your livestock, especially the chickens. I am planning on getting a small flock going next spring and was concerned about wintering them. What do you do for heat, and just how cold of a coop can they tolerate?
Hello there,
new to the forum, but not new to prepping or survivalism. Living in the Oshawa/Bowmanville area right now, moving soon, and this winter will be living in the Bush in Omeeme.
Like the first lady said, getting back on her Feet, well me too, getting back on my feet. Cheers to us.
Hey there WildernessReturn, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a great plan in mind and would live to hear more about it. Don't be a stranger!
I am in the Sault Ste. Marie area and was looking for others in this area.
Hello
New to the forum, but not new to prepping, I have a small 6 acres homestead out side of Lisle.
Anyone on here from the North Bay area!?
Hello from sunny Cambridge!
I am just one of five here; my partner, three boys and I guess we should include the two dogs.
My partner and I are new to the world of prepping, and while we're long on needing to know and get out there and put into practice what we learn, we're prepping on a dime.
I look forward to interacting with all of you and hopefully learning a thing or two along the way.
