Hi folks I'm new to this forum and would like to know if there is a prepping group in the Durham area that I can connect with.A friend of mine turned me on to this network a couple of weeks ago as he felt that it might be time for me to come in out of the cold.I've traveled and wandered all over the back roads of this province for years,in a very solitary fashion,camping,hiking,and riding my old motorcycle,I'm into bushcraft,wood carving,slingshots,edge tools, martial arts,and survival training both urban and rural, I've built a lot of my own kit over the years.Experience has been a wonderful and hard teacher,and after talking for many hours with my friend I've come to realize,that doing this alone is not necessarily a bad thing,but it would be a better thing in the company of others, learning and sharing and getting more done,hopefully waking up more sleepers. I'm new here as well and not too far west of Durham. You looking for people to meet with or an actual squad/team/group etc.???
I would meet. the show keeps saying to involve others, well,kudos to anyone that can do it. When I mention prepping to my friends, I either hear "Well if the nuke plant goes, we will all be dead anyway." Or "If anything happens, I'll just go to your house." Um no you won't.
welcome to the site neighbours. keep checking these threads or even make one for a meeting in the area. im sure there would be a half decent turn out. i for one would go.
