Tents...? Would these be for shelter?... or are we allowed to camp?

Only for shelter if it rains. I had thought I would just bring a tarp with a few poles just in case since the sheltered part of the park is not bookable.

Is anyone going to bring a mass rocket stove or hobo stove? I think my ex will be joining us and he is a metal worker as well as a wood worker. I have shown him a few stoves on line but it's not as good as seeing one in person.

Ohhh I wish I could go to this but I am on a school trip that week! I hope you all have such a great time that you will want to do it again so I can go too. It sounds wonderful! I am excited about this trip...taking 44 kids to NYC! Do it once a year, and every time I go I think...no natural disasters this time please, let us have fun and get home before SHTF! Lol

I am going to attempt to make a solar oven at the meet. I will need people to bring in the following things.
A square corrugated cardboard box, ~18 in (H,D,W). Some sheets of corrugated cardboard at least 18 in wide, old boxes will do.
Potato chip bags, or any MYLAR type chip bags (large please). Or a roll of Aluminum foil.
An 18 in square pane of glass (or larger, can cut to fit)
Wire coat hangers. I’ll bring my tools and adhesive spray and duct tape. Will raffle off the stove to help pay for any park fee’s.

If someone has a video camera I would love to post a demo on the main blog site. Even still shots with a brief explanation would be great too!

The glass I have is 18 inches by 18 inches. The boxes I have are only 18 inches long but I made a phone call to see if my ex has that size where he works. If it is taller then 18 inches can it be cut down?

i got nothing for the solar stove, but i can bring some nice clean hardwood 3/8 to 2 in thick 12 in long for the
rockets.

IMHO i think we are going to need a 2 day meet for all the stuff 😆
