OK folks, sorry to break up the party...but we've had a complaint.
It was sent to me in confidence, so I cannot reveal the source, however the member complained about the sexual nature of this and one other thread.
So let's all (including me) try to keep it PG13.

I'm just registered today and have been reading through some posts. Mostly I'm glad to belong, as people care about preparing. But this thread became quite disturbing and even shocking to me.....I think a complaint was justified. To '2012Compatible', your response that people who complain ....."die ALONE" is REALLY insensitive. From what I've read, there are many single people (by divorce or single parents or 50+) registered on this board. Do you not think that single people would love to have someone who shares their ideals....and not be alone? And it hurts me, for one, to be insulted by your comment. Shame on you.
We are all trying to do the same thing: PREPARE ourselves and our families for 'whatever' happens in our future. I feel that we ALL have the same objective, so why is there ANY disharmony, insulting, or ill-feelings?

I agree, sometimes it is taken over the top a bit, consider this though;
some people here have become friends, so sometimes it gets to be like water cooler humour. Some like it, some do not and it is based on the person and the topic.
Now, I think you could read his comment a bit of two ways as well, but, I did not like it either.

firstly, welcome to the party buddy...your views and opinions will always be respected and discussed with dignity by the majority

secondly wilde and 2012, their comments were quiet out of character (read their other combine 800 posts if you can do so without falling asleep at the computer)...if id wrote that, everyone would just expected it, ignor it and move on (including Denob, hes given up on me as a lost cause 😀 ) however, from what little you can garnish over the internet these are two respectable, intelligent characters. their comments i can assure were without intent to cause 'disharmony' or 'ill-feelings'

thirdly, and this is nothing more than personal opnion, if a couple of words make you 'disturbed' and 'shocked' you need to get a thicker skin our kid. im not saying this to be nasty or meaning it in a patronising way but ive seen and dealt with a lot of bad things out there and what ive read on here ranks about seven millionth in disturbing or shocking.... 😕

please do not let this put you off. i can tell by your post your intelligent and obviously share our goals and objectives. look forward to reading your contributing posts in the near future. 2c

😳 I am so sorry if you took offence at anything I said (we were just joking) - I have a very broad mind and a very "earthy" sense of humour so very little offends me. I would also like to welcome you 😀 . BUT, I also agree with Carbon - in the event of SHTF it is very possible that violent crime will increase and if you think about who are considered by crims to be the "soft targets?", you will realise that women, children and the elderly will become victims....IF they let it happen. There are some wonderful, intelligent people willing to share their expertise on just about any topic you can think about. Some of the topics scare the hell out of me, but I'd rather cover all possibilities...

😯 I knew there was something going on......they forgot to add that you guys hunt & eat sheds- you gotta all be so tough! And, then there are you "Rambo" types, and "King Kong" types 🙄 (JK - I laughed...but then again I laugh at lots of things)
