Met afew want to be preppers at a local gun range. Their type of prepping is guns & ammo only. If the chips are down they plan on raiding people that have things. They are not the people i want to be with, when the SHTF.
Unfortunately these 'type' of preppers have a very limited mental range. Raiding people (their homes I'm assuming) is unethical and immoral. Guns and ammo are a good thing in terms of security and defense. To have a preconceived notion of using them in this manner is not the type of prepper that I want to be around.
Some have expressed that for food they would simply hunt. What they don't understand is that everyone that's ever hunted will also be hunting. In a long-term situation when the food stores run dry and where a majority of people don't have food - things like wild edibles, trapping, fishing and hunting will become an all to common practice for the ones that do manage to make it through. It might be a little more competitive then some of these preppers may think.
My suggestion is to get friendly with them as a means of finding out exactly how they intend on doing this and under what circumstances. This way you'll have some insight into how these people think and what to expect at your door.
