would depend on day, time and place, but its possible..

Would love if you came Farmgal 🙂
From what I've read, you're living the dream that I am aiming for. Lucky you! We're in the process of looking for a place in the country (2nd year looking) but has been difficult to find something suitable (within our price range). I promise not to pick your brain too much if you come!
Weekends are the good times for me, Sunday's being the better day normally.. with chores and milking twice daily right now, I am pretty much out of any chance of making a weekday work for me 🙂

Calling All Gardeners!
Eager to get back in your garden?
This annual seed exchange and sale will feature an organic mini-market, garden talks and workshops, a swap table and organic snacks.
While your gardens sleep under their blanket of snow, why not come out for a visit?
Workshop seating is limited, so come early!
11:00 Everything you ever wanted to know about Kale: growing, eating and storing - Jim Thompson, Notre petite ferme – Our Little Farm
12:00 Growing sweet potatoes - Dan Brisebois, Ferme de Tournesol
13:00 Beginner seed saving- Kate Green USC
14:00 The 10 meter diet - Tom Marcantonio
Contact: Greta@seeds-organic.com, 613-521-8648
I like to get there for the doors to open, otherwise some of the best seed sellers can sell out of the more rare things really fast, I showed up one time a couples hour into it and while there was lots of regular stuff, nothing I was looking for was left.
As for the coffee afterwards to be honest, I have no idea, I don't know the area and I will do my best to get my hubby to come with as well. But we can look and see if there is a tim's near by or ?

Count me and hubby in!
I would really like to hear "Beginner seed saving" at 1:00 PM. I wonder what "The 10 meter diet" is?
When did you guys want to meet up? Can we meet before or after the 1:00 lecture? Or are you guys also interested in hearing it?
There's a Timmies at 2970 Carling Ave or a McDonalds at 2625 Carling Ave. The entrance to Britania park is half way between both locations (5 minutes from each). There aren't any other coffee places close by that I know of (just a few restaurants).
They might both be PACKED on a Sat afternoon. Want to chance it or find a different location for coffee?
I gave a heads-up to Whitebear and Oddmott about the latest board postings...
hi, I am not sure on if I want to the seed saving but I have friends working on the free seed table, so can do a bit of visiting with fellow Ottawa garden group, the ten meter diet, is a play on the hundred mile diet, it means eat as much as possible from your own backyard

I prefer Macdonals coffee as I drink it black ?
and coffee is free that day
If we stay away from lunch time should be okay
again I don't know how long to plan for the show?
will be there close to 10
possible meetup time?

ok, double checked with my garden group, few places offer drinks and some food vender but other then a couple chairs no were to sit and visit inside the event itself, I am personally prefer tims but will go with what everyone else wants, in truth I am open to a sit down as well,
well, the doors open at ten, the free swap table is in the entry area, its a good place to meet say hello, and then either shop together or split up shop and meet back in that general area, normally I am in and out within 45 min but Ottawa gal wants the 1pm seed savers, so we are either shopping at ten, out in an hour or so, have coffee and then some go back again..
or we could get drinks there, and do a meet greet parking lot visit after shopping, we are in a park so no one would think a thing of it?

Just heard back from a fellow garden group member and it turns out that there is tables and chairs on the upper floor! of the event area, so we could get a drink, a bit to eat if wanted and visit up there on site, how does that sound? 🙂

Super! That makes things easy.
Maybe I'm a little paranoid but from what I can tell the entire planet can read these posts (shows up on Google and anyone can see them?).
Maybe we should discuss exact meeting time and how to identify each other via private PM message? I'd feel a bit better doing it that way, if that's ok.
Sure, if that is what folks are most comfortable with, I am fine with it.. I have sent you a pm Ottawa gal, I hope to connect with the rest of you that are interested in coming as well.
