I was watching Dooms day preppers and it showed people haveing food caches along there foot route out of town
Another episode showed a guy with seperate spider holes for camoflage

I have done the fuel and food caches along my multiple BO routes to BOL
What I am looking at is Caches of prepps close to my BOL so if I do get bumped by a larger force they are only getting a small bit of my preps
I intend to use some as simple as 5 gallon pails or 45 gallon drums burried in awkward spots ie: a small cops of trees or the corner of a fence line where the big weeds grow
I will also use some small under gound bunker type constructions
They will be close enough to recover by hand and carry with people power but well camoflaged so to be unseen

Any more ideas or plans will be apreciated
Thanks Hobo

If I may....
You've done lots of planning for when you bug out. I think you should do more on why.
Why would you leave in the first place? Is it really that likely?

Doomsday Preppers is TV manufactured bullshit. Not a blueprint.

Don't forget that the content of your caches will also need to be rotated occasionally...
Which means:
1. You'll have to visit your caches, increasing the potential of someone spotting them / you there.
2. They'll need to be re-concealed - which might be an issue if you rely on a big bush of high weeds...

And yes, I agree with Perfesser: don't take everything they show on TV for granted 😈

As a side note, if you still decide to go with this, in my invariably personal opinion this should be one of the last steps in your prepping plan.
Do you already have: EDC? BOB? Bug-in prep for 72 hours? 1 month? Well set up BOL? SOPs for various scenarios? In my world, all these precede organizing the caches...

Just a few quick notes
I have a 72 hour BOB
I have food and water for 1 month plus at home
Waiting for my lease to end so I can move from city to my BOl way far from city

What are my thoughts on leaveing the city
!!!!!These are my opinions so please do not be offended!!!!!!
I think any plan where I was to stay in the city is nuts, you may ask why
1 I am a retired soldier with PTSD can't stand the crowds the speed and the noise of the city
2 I have been in many countries as a peace keeper and with NATO and I have seen first hand what civil unrest does to the people
3 I believe when the major problems start the police forces and even military will be too stretched to be effective
4 I have done riot training in prisons and these are the types of people that will be causeing the problems
5 Street riots happen because of sports events so what will happen with a food , power , or fuel shortage
6 Bugging in is no answer for me I have seen how quick garbage builds up when there is even a short strike
7 With garbage comes diseas from insects rats and insects
8 It will be unsafe to go out on the streets because of roaming groups of vandals, dogs will run in packs when abandoned at cats will become feral
9 Weak minded people will turn to the bullies for direction and they will look to take what they want in groups

What training do I have for planning the bug out or bug in once I leave the city
1. I have 14 years of military time
2. 4 years with the infantry as a logistics platoon driver and and supply driver , fuel consumption mapping and maintenance
3. 10 years as a cook where I ran a field cooking company and also administered 3 kitchens in Bosnia, flight service trained as well
4. I learned food costing, menu planning , personel shifts and supply routeing and quantities
5. I am familiar with all sanitary, human waste and water requirements and disposal
6. I am also verry well trained in camoflage concealment and evasion

On a personal note I am more comfortable in the bush then around people
All I need is a good gun a good dog and a good horse to survive
I spent 6 years as a long haul trucker after the military
I spent 8 years liveing in the foothills of Alberta after trucking
I find country and small town folk are a closer nit community to fight adversity as a groop
I know tv only tells the truth cause I saw the reports of what we were doing overseas on the news
I think these things qualify me to plan the way I am

Thanks for your concerns
Hope this helps you to understand me a little better

Hobo, I sure didn't mean any offence, nor did I intend to doubt your skills/abilities - if anything, simply because I knew nothing about them 🙄
And now that I do - you have my utmost respect!
Good luck with your plans!

Just one more thought... If the caches are going to be located on a land that you don't own, the owners may have some plans for development, selling, or otherwise changing the status quo there. I guess you'll want to periodically check up on your stashes, just to make sure they're still "in good health"? 😉

You are the same as 90%... very few have a viable alternative...
