I have found that the upbringing has something to do with the attitude. If someone was silver spoon in hand they probably do not care to prep. I am not tagging everyone this way, just a higher percentage. Things like mom and dad bought first car, down payment on a home, college paid etc etc. If things are handed to you your whole life, why stop the gravy train? Or if someone has a fantastic job that pays well they may not want to think things can get bad so they look at everything as glass half full. Personally I live life half empty so when a drop falls by accident into the glass it makes my day, however if some gets poured out I am hardly ever disappointed since I expect the whole damn thing to spill at some point.
In one book I read, The main Character in the book was surprised that, when, the savages butchered the animals that hunted, the first part that was eaten was the innards. He realized that this was a survival trait, because they were vitamin “A” deficient. :geek:
A little trivia. Internal organs such as liver and kidney contain many necessary vitamins. They are an excellent source of vitamins a, B complex and C. However Polar bear liver contains some much vitamin A that is toxic. A good feast of polar bear liver will be your last meal. This is also true of artic seals and huskies. So if anyone had their eye on my dog think again! (Thecrier or Crybaby 😆 ).
A lttle trivia
ICRCC has to much time in his hands
Yes but it will be very good trivia the next time a "friend" wants to serve you up a delicious plate of sautéed polar bear liver and mayan onioins. 😆
Hey ICRCC if that i picture of your dog and you ever have pups let me know one of my dogs is getting old.
Somebody raised question about upbringing .I have three boys and when they were little I do not even know how many times my neighbors call social services that I was too hard on them. Now I do not have to worry if something happen trust me they know how to survive .
Thanks for for the advice about the liver it is one of my favor delicatessen.Just two weeks ago I had to shoot bear at night trying ti get to my corn storage. I just buried it.
Henry
Yes I know....... regrettably Prepping has become twice as hard since I lost my husband (who was a skillful prepper too). I admire all the couples who Prep together and hope that the non-prepper 'significant others' will see the light......soon
Sorry to hear this, maybe you will meet others that will help you prep as well, or join a group that would be lucky to have you in it!
Yes that is my dog Henry. I got her from a vet school and she had already been fixed so unfortunately she will not be having any pups.
