I'm looking for a shooting club, open field, crown land or wilderness/hunting area that would give me the opportunity to practice shooting targets at 200-400m, or even up to 800m, within a 3-4 hour drive from the GTA.

I know that's a lot to ask for.

I'm beginning to miss my old house in Alberta - there were a lot of places within a 1.5 hour drive. And people weren't so touchy about firearms.

Any suggestions? I understand that people may not be willing to share their favorite spots, but I don't really know anyone here in Ontario, so I promise I won't share the location with anyone. If you PM me, I'll keep it secret. 🙂 Also, I used to do volunteer work on trail maintenance and summer work as a tree planter, so... I won't spoil natural settings, I promise.

Thanks guys!

Suggest you find one of the power line cuts on crown land as far north as you're willing to go

East Elgin Sportsman's Association outside of Aylmer Ontario has a 300 meter range. I know of at least one Torontonian that drives down to use the club.
