Is there such a thing as a small hand cranked spice grinder or mill similar to a grist mill? I found one that seems to be what I am looking for but I have only found it in Holland.
I just burned out another electric one try to do cinnamon bark.
I have one electric one that is used only for my dried garlic to make garlic powder. I have a small marble mortar and pestle that I used for my "brittle" spices. I have a hand crank coffee mill. Also a pepper mill. None of theses will work for "hard shell" herbs or spices.
It might be that I am calling what I am looking for by the wrong name as well.
Found out it's a nut grinder but still looking for a source
You might not like the answers but here they are;
go to a head shop and buy the grinder there
go and get a baby bullet
how about a coffee grinder?
I use the small Braun coffee grinder for spices....I use Indian "cinnamon" bark which isn't quite as hard as your readily available cinnamon sticks.
My grinder is more than 15 yrs old and was used daily for coffee before it was retired to a spice grinder.
A manual coffee grinder might handle the task
I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband
I found one made by Buffalo Tools but I have only been able to find them on Amazon.com. I hate buying stuff on line without knowing what I am going to get.
Thanks for your ideas
