I feel sorry for some of you. I am trying to contribute all that I can to the effort. I thought that was the idea. I really have no time to dither with you about your likes and dislikes. People are a little gun shy with some of the Negative and down right rude people in the last 2-3 months; Aries - Monotoman - and the other one Mr. Mono! and as for the FDA, as far as i can find, the only approval is for topical applications! if you find other info on that, i'd like to see it.

I know many doctors that would say it’s not safe, I know of a handful of issues that have come up from it’s use. No doubt in low doses it is not going to hurt the majority of people, in large doses it will hurt more people. I see no benefit to the risk involved in it. There is NO such thing as something that is 100% safe in all people. All “100% natural” things have side effects. The benefit out weights the risk for most treatments we use, or we would no doubt stop using them. Some people believe pot is safe, but I have seen some very bad side effects from that on both first time and chronic users. I could make a good argument that cocaine is safer then pot in small doses. But that’s not going to fly with most health care providers, because there are too many negative effects for it. (and there are some good effects to both of them, I have used both drugs on pt’s that required them for their treatment)

I can find you doctors that will claim wheat, milk or meat is evil. But they are all still on the Canadian food guide list. There has always been “snack oils” around. Some stay others don’t. a few years ago grape seed extract was going to save the world, before that there was a mushroom, before that there was something else.

Silver does have benefit, but ingestion of it is dangerous.
Unless you are selling it, then I’m sure you can find many people to praise it’s use. As for actual benefits to it, it’s hard to say. You would need a double blind study and I’m not finding any info on that. You can also take into account the placebo effect, that has been seen as high as 97% in some treatment/studies. My thoughts on this is that if you believe it works and you find benefit from “safe” treatments, then who cares if it’s real or placebo, because relief is found. There are still very dangerous effects of ingesting silver.

As for catherters? Are you talking cardiac caths? IV caths? Bladder caths? Because silver does, like I said, not allow germs to grow on it. Putting it inside a bladder only prevents the tips from growing germs, but the germs come from the outside in while the catheter is insitu, so a silver tip will have limited effect.

Silver is one of the best electrical conductive material on earth, so if it’s being used in side a pace maker or other devices, I would not be surprised. But it’s not being absorbed into the blood strem.

I believe this is unsafe, and no amount of info will change my mind until the studies are done and are recognized by medical bodies that show a benefit over the risk. But at that, we still know in large doses it is dangerous.

As with many things, the only difference between a medicine and a poison is the dose.
