Hey oldschool we'll have other opportunities to meet. I dropped some stuff off at the CPN booth for the northern kids, i sure hope they can find a use for it.

thank you, I saw the bag but I didn't know who it was from. It you took any of the seminars, chances are we met as I was directing "traffic" for the seminars most of the day.

I was at the off grid living seminar and the art of urban survival seminar at 1:30 and 3 respectively. I generally keep a low profile as im relatively new and dont have much to offer yet.

I too want to say thank you to all the organizers for a great job. Really enjoyed the day and looking forward to next years!! Nice to meet a few people I see posting on here. I was thinking maybe we could wear some kind of a identifying ribbon or patch next year so we all don't stare at each other and wonder.....lol. Hello to Denob (great job manning the both), oldschool & muleskinner.

That's a great idea...I will look into getting something like that and have people stop by the booth with their username to get one!

Wow, I was really shocked to see all the guns! I guess I should have expected it but it still surprised me. 😯

Weekend started with a very nice meet and great dinner fri nite.
It was nice to be able to spend private time talking with each presenter after their lecture and get them to sign their books.
A good selection of vendors and range of interests represented, glad I didn't bring my truck things could have got out of hand.
My tanks to all the organizers and volunteers, well done to all

There really were not as many guns as the pictures seem to show. But they did have a soft air firing range. (I think that is what it was called 😳 _

For the first show it was small but will hopefully grow next year. I have to admit that I walked in Saturday morning and saw all the booths in about 10 minutes and was disappointed. Then I had my first seminar which was with Dr. Joe Alton. Everything was uphill from there. The presentations were excellent from Joe Alton on Saturday through to Cam Mather on Sunday. There were some minor mistakes that could happen at any show such as the time on the ticket for The Sunday's Survival Group presentation with Charley Hogwood saying 10:30 but the presentation actually starting at 10:00. Fortunately, as Preppers, we always arrive early just to make sure we're on time. Don't we? : )

The show specials were good. Cam Mather had his books for $10.00 taxes included instead of $16.00 taxes extra. If you wanted a metal ammo box for $15.00 they were there too and if you wanted a Mora Classic 2 for $22.00 taxes in. There were many others but I can't get into them all.

Unfortunately you had to pay for parking each time you came in. So if you had a couple hours between presentations you could either try to sit in on another presentation, take the car to see the sights and pay another $4.00 when you returned or walk a long walk.

The food selection was not great. You could get poutine with or without Pork Chili, Pork Chili, a hot dog, burger or fries. Coffee, tea, juices, sports drink, water and beer were also offered. It would be nice to see something a little more on the healthy side next year. Perhaps a green salad you know like a nice dandelion leaf, purslane and plantain salad with wild fresh picked berries and a balsamic vinaigrette, fresh killed and butchered wild boar and a side of freshly foraged Jerusalem artichokes and bull rush shoots. You know the stuff we as Preppers always eat on a regular basis.

All in all I think for the first show it was a good start. Don't get me wrong by my review. I am not trying to slam the show. I really would like to see it repeated next year with more exhibitors. I hope if you went you had a good time and if you missed I hope you go next year.

One suggestion is if you want an inexpensive place to stay next year, provided it is at the same venue, that is in easy walking distance with a restaurant try the Rodeway Inn.

wow thank you so much for the review. There is going to be a meeting about it in the next few weeks to see what should be done for next year. They had no choice on the food 🙁 I was so hoping that someone from Wild Muskoka Botanicals would be there but it just didn't work out.

I hope the guys don't mind me mentioning it but a couple of vendors cancelled at the last minute. So there were suppose to be more. (I cancelled in March due to health issues. Of course they were resolved by August but I didn't want to take the chance of letting anyone down)

btw Welcome to the group Hangingout

One other thing I neglected to mention. Kudos to all the volunteers. They did a great job. They were friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the happenings at the Expo.
