I get to start from scratch again. Hate that but what can I do.
If my plans work, I will be planting:
Tomatoes, cucumber, beets, carrots, green pepper, scotch bonnets, gooseberries, cloud raspberries, red current, blackberries, an apple tree, a mulberry bush, a pear tree. For "spices", pioneer oinion, pioneer garlic, Rosemary, Russian sage, winter savory, bay, thyme, oregano, bronze fennel, dill. I haven't decided yet for edible flowers.
I've had collards planted over the winter in a cold frame, cabbage and beets(for greens)too and I'm seeing if a broccoli will survive over winter. Spinach is just coming up in the frames with some lettuce. Planted onions, cabbage, chard seeds last week. Peas soon, one or 2 brussels sprouts in far corner, tomatoes, peppers, sweet potatoes, squash, melons, beans, cucumbers, garlic. Probably more I'm forgetting. Kiwi, grapes, raspberries will come back, ground cherries will pop up everywhere after last years planting. I'm going to try tomatillos this year I think.
Thanks I had forgotten to add grapes to my list.
Just remebered that I need to see if I can find some Saskatoon berry bushes as well
I'm planting potatoes, winter butternut squash, zucchini, tomatoes, lettuce, sweet peppers, garlic, carrots, and onions. I'm adding more blueberries and another 20' row of raspberries. I have a couple of cold-frames and at the end of the month, I'll start some lettuce, spinach, peas, and onions in them. Of course I always plant basil, savory, parsley, and rosemary (last two I grow together in a pot and bring it into the house for the winter) along with old fashioned flowers like marigolds, cosmos, and zinnias. I like to focus on lots of "winter keepers" to store for winter use in my cold room (potatoes, carrots, onions, squash) and won't go bad in the event of a power outage. I'm planning on spending more time dehydrating garden produce this year as well.
