Zellers in Brockville just started their liquidation on 26 Dec, Kingston store already closed
We didnt see much at the Zellers closing here that was really worthwhile (picked through). We did get some toys for the little ones and 100 reusable grocery bags for 10 bucks.
Our is also liquidating right now.
I have found good deals on some canning jars and other supplies.
The camping section had great discounts on supplies, even if very limited selection of actually useful items.
Rubbermaid and other plastic totes are the preppers friend, and they have been a great deal as well.
Look carefully through the store...back in the late summer/early fall I got flashing "emergency" light key chains for my adult kids for Xmas. They had some camping gear stuff too but it was strewn throughout the store and not all in the sporting goods section.
I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband
thanks "mom" I will be making another trip soon. i did pick up a lot of first aid supplies last trip, 30% off and they are still marking down. It is worth while taking your time to cruise the aisles. things to look for:
first aid supplies
canned goods
outer wear (ie gloves, hats, work gloves etc)
camping gear
emergency road gear
toiletries
love a bargain
