Being preppers, I wonder what make your house different from your neighbor. ???
The house itself, operation or both?
Mine looks less appealling to rob in comparison. I like to keep it maintained, but not too rich looking. Rather than keeping up with the Jones' we like to stay a step or two behind.
If your home library contains more volumes about survival-related topics than your local public library, you might be a prepper.
Both the house & operation, of course !
Our house burned down a couple of years ago and we are building a recycled house sort of like the Tiny Texas Houses but at the moment it is just a facade so if someone looks in they will see straight out the other side 😆
The house is too unassuming to be a target for potential thieves but I am going to build a hidden cellar away from the house. We also have a long driveway about 800m long and can see all the way down to the entrance so can see when people come and can prepare for their arrival...so to speak 😈
I live in my bug out vehicle full time, so no house, just a home the banks or ex wife can not take. Lost the 2nd house due to Ex wife, so never again.

thats exacly why i build my floating cabin
Not much different about my house except that I make sure it's well maintained and efficient... I plan to replace my fireplace with a wood stove and start up a garden asap... I've got good relationships with my neighbors too which I think is very important, even if we're just talking about another ice storm...
