Hi,
I'd like a bag to carry my saw around my land. This bag is my inspiration:

it it a mountain bike trail building bag - it has built in first-aid kit, a roll to carry 100 spikes, pockets to carry spare fuel and oil. There are 2 problems with it though - the company doesn't produce it anymore, and it was really pricey. It is also overkill for what I want

I tried this as a half-assed first try:

. I didn't even modify the bag, I just used the existing straps and misalligned the lid to use it as a rest for the saw body. The saw tended to shift to one side, and the weight distribution was wrong, my back was aching after a couple of hours of hiking/sawing. All I really want is a method to securely attach saw to bag, and some room for first aid/snacks/gear.

Has anyone built or even used a bag like this? Ideas are very welcome... I want the weight to be carried ergonomically - up high and close in to my body.

Cheers!

Look for a Military Ruck Sack frame, either US or CDN
then just use straps and slap on a small bag as well, those are my thoughts.
