How realistic would it be for foreigners like us Canadians to be a part of your community?? In a SHTF scenario, would the border be open to property owners who are from another country??
I think you are on the right track, whole communities of like minded folks has got to be the best way to survive. Keep us posted if you have any ventures closer to Canada or in Canada.

I would say after an event occurred it may be difficult to enter the US. Off-course it all depends how bad of an event it was, say a nuclear attack, then no one will be guarding the boarder any way. So one option is to be at the community before an event occurred or have your own community in Canada.
