Both sides claim to hold the airport at Donetsk at this time. From what trustworthy sources (those less likely to lie...more neutral positions), it appears that the rebels indeed have the area under control. Further proof is the constant shelling that Donetsk city has been at least reduced greatly too.

Is this another atrocity to add to Ukraine's growing list?? You can see the flare type shells landing in the region of gas. It does not matter how many rebels they think are in the area, they know this gassing will kill alot of civilians too.
Maybe this is just smoke and they are advancing upon the airport region in full force instead. This too is designed to again allow them full access to the region to continue their shelling as before. Again, this tactic killed the civilian population more than any other. But this too seems to go with the overall game plan or they'd change things up otherwise. I'm betting that they intend to make those of the east suffer through the coming winter without heat and other essentials. The elements will take their toll and the west won't have to do much then.

The above link claims that Russian troops are fighting at the airport. Yet they ride in a car with men of various uniform types. They show no military discipline and present nothing of value to prove the title applied. I present this footage to try and show viewers to note the attire of the rebels. Most have no bulletproof vests. Many haven't even a helmet. Those that do have likely acquired them off someone dead. It is so obvious that they are not being supplied very well by Russia and likely not at all. Many rebels even show disgust when others mention they are supported by Russia as they bear nothing of consequence to even suggest such backing. Yet the web has continuous threads suggesting this to be true anyways.

The are more reports of very sadistic acts by the Ukraine army. So bad was one that I will not present it. Needless to say that the coverup of these atrocities is giving way to promote even greater ones being committed. Unless soldiers are punished for such war crimes, they will likely continue to increase. The hardships faced by the people of the east Ukraine have been very traumatic and yet the likelihood of far worse is yet to come as winter draw near.

Seems to be taken from over the city of Donetsk and at the same location where I questioned the fog. The shelling has the earmarks of phosphorous rounds again and are banned as a weapon of war. They were used earlier by the Ukraine army and seem to be here too. You can also tell that there is alot of smoke, not fog all about that isn't from this present shelling. The author suggest it is Pro-Russian but they hold this region being shelled so that is very unlikely. Either way, more of the east is destroyed all over the regions natural resources.

Russia had just delivered another aid shipment to the east and I showed where reporters did a random inspection as officials won't.
Q: Why won't they inspect these trucks? A: So they can claim there smuggling in weapons.
Q: Why do they not want those in the east to receive supplies that they themselves are unwilling to provide? A: guess why!
Q: Why does the Red Cross, OSCE refuse to inspect these trucks? It would relieve tensions over such and be of great benefit to those in need. And why do other nations protest the aiding of these civilians trapped in such a civil war? What is different here that they should refuse anothers offer to provide aid?
When folks can provide decent answers to simple questions as these, maybe I could start cheering for our side and feel we might be the good guys...especially if we offered aid instead of war toys!

So why do they go on? Likely because their enemy has no money to support them if they surrendered. Their houses and economy gone. Their usefulness is limited and thus likely so is their existence. I think Ukraine has been a socialist society in the east up to this point. Therefore it is likely that the people are used to all being equal in who has what as they more or less accept that the government then owned it all anyways. Such said, that means many can live legally in another's residence temporarily as Russia seems intent on restoring electrical power to some regions at least. This provides better options than folks hiding in tents over the winter. And a country that is known to be the breadbasket of Europe seems capable of having grains and produce still to help feed them during these times too.
The difference is if the shelling continues to follow these people to their new locations. If they shell around the airport only due to it's strategic location, then many should find safety elsewhere. If the shelling follows the population, then it is obvious they are truly trying to reduce the population. It seems the intent is quite strong already as they shell residential districts more than any other thing at present. But once the majority of the population are gone, you can bet the the Ukraine army will move in and occupy the region as theirs. Then the remainder of the city will be their next target.
It appears that NATO has something to do with this present push. Our news media has been continually preparing us to expect Russia to attack and so maybe a staged incursion is likely so as to allow their full forces assist to finally gain control of this region. Will Russia respond in kind to the buildup or will they allow it to show who is breaking the Minsk treaty first? The advantage lost would be where any battle would then be later fought as it could and would likely then threaten Russian territories.
stop..not socialist..such words are thrown around..its not so... not at all...homes arnt owned by the state in fact after the collaps of communisum the homes/ flats people were in were offered for sale to the people in them for very modest amounts, still it could be a lot back then when things were tight, so the people could pay over time, thats how many wound up owning there own flats after communisum fell, and homes and flats built after the fall were built by contractors just as here, and you could get mortgages on them to pay it out over time, just as here.
Not socialist in the sence you mean, medical care could be like here where the state has clinic's and hospitals, but really that did not expand after the fall, in fact private care in private for pay hospitals and clinic's expanded greatly while the states roll dropped.
Education same thing...you no longer could study for free, everything changed for pay..right down to school trips...if your class was to go from donesk to Kiev for a weekend field trip if your parents couldnt afford the fee..you did not go. The only thing I can think of socialist and even then its a stretch, is the fees charged at museum's and cultural places...if you were ukrainian, you paid less than if you were a foreigner..but you still paid..you pay for your gas/ electricity and water just as here, except do to the lack of individual metering per flat (from commie times) your share is divided up by the total used by your apartment complex...but you still paid..and not much is equal..lots of poorer people, some middle class but some god awful rich, criminaly so...

It's nice to see that others know something about such aspects. They seem more like us then ever and yet they now lose it all to a failing economy as that is the initial cause of their present situation. No wonder folks don't want to leave as they indeed lose all and home insurance in such times is truly unlikely.
It's hard to imagine the game plan of shelling the cities into rubble. The intent to destroy the infrastructure is obvious. The reasoning is to make the civilians too busy seeking the next meal to have time to wage war. Making them truly reliant upon your handouts in understandable. Thus you can see that any supplies given them from Russia indeed slows this process drastically and gives them hope to fight on. The rebel's access to heat sinking missiles has definitely reduced the amount of Aeriel attacks which could have defeated them otherwise. But this then has lead to the Ukraine army relying more upon the shelling tactics instead. Such things seem minor to many but more obvious once pointed out.
You have to admit that these folks are a hardy breed who don't surrender easily.
