Don't worry guys the government will take care of us

Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it

I had a massive supply of water already before the crisis. Who else was amused by the sudden glut on water by people not prepared?

There is still a VERY good chance of a boil water advisory(I boil mine anyway, saving my filter for bug out). The water stinks and burns my mouth and throat, of course the city maintains the water quality is excellent. The taste and smell are due to "chemicals mixing with the solid matter" according to Nenshi.

Then maybe you ought to take this in your hands and pull out your filter from the BOB before the authorities tell you that you have to??

The water wasn't bad IMO I've had far worse in other cities, and don't ask about well water that I have tasted, yuck! I have had some very nasty potable water.
We are quite spoiled with how Calgary's water tastes during regular times.

You haven't had bad water till you've had a sip from rolou or Wilcox Saskatchewan. It's like licking a battery covered in hand cream

See you all after.

There is a town in central Alberta that I stayed in due to work for one night in 1985. The treated water came out of the tap looking a lot like compost tea. The water was so soft it took about 1/2 hour to get the soap off of my body in the shower.

The coffee in the morning was all right BUT once the pot was about 30 mins old it went bad in a big hurry.

Supposedly in days of yore,a couple of silver dollars were tossed into a water barrel to take care of the algae, bacteria etc.
