Knuckle had asked me a while back about a BOV....I sort of have, it could be used as such...but really I am not going anywhere so it has other purposes.
I am not finished, only started on it this last fall. It started as a 79? prowler trailer bought off kijijijij in great shape everything works fine, I think its 200sqft or so inside, and was a non smoked in unit... Now this unit is being complete redone...and redone throughout, including a new roof...a must on these old trailers.
Done in Hardwood, new countertops, tile, a big 4 foot skylight is bought and being put in, It will have a attached deck,I started to replace the windows with proper double pained ones, I have a expensive fireplace going in for both heat and heating of hot water. This is going to be tucked away in a nice quiet, private spot amoungst the evengreens. I have about 800- 1000 watts of panels I will put up to power this unit, and a little wind turbine. so this unit will be full self contained, and set up for full comfort even though small in size. Now I can use this as a guest cabin for when I have company but I will likely rent this out instead...not to really make money from it as such, just as a little extra cash to cover property tax's and such that allways seem to be going up. Maybe to someone retired who just wants a small place to garden, raise a few chickens or not, and not have to worry about utillity bills and such. I started to paint the inside before winter came just to seal the wood, I have picked up toung and groove pine to do much of the inside.
I know it doesnt look like much now but when finished it will, I set the fireplace inside for now, but it will be moved to a bump out that I am building for the side of this unit, and the propane fridge will be replaced with a electric one.
Anyway this will be my non moving BOV.
Just cut out the old window
new window put in, when done this will look like a propper little house (on wheels), even have new curtains.
I should call it my BIV
You can just see the fireplace in the left of that one pick, It will go in the bump out I am building but note how high it is, I build a steel base that raises the stove up so you dont have to bend over to load it, I do that with all my stoves as it just makes them so much easier to use,
