Which one do you want? like I said before your time is valuable or should be. Do you want it consumed with noise or signal. Though there is always some of each..there should be,but what dominates. Noise is unlimited.With enough of it you cant think, cant think clear, cant question, and cant move forward.Like doing things vs watching others do things (utube)you need signal...accurate info and little noise. Ramp up the signal, this could be synonimus with my expression of a solid, accurate info, directly tested, owned, built, or bought . In other words not utube vids, and endless third, fourth,fifth party info
I have never seen so little questioning as on prepper boards. All of them, and its because of noise, but know what? there is a lot less of it lately here, I noticed it last spring time ish or so, when I put my feet up on a sunday afternoon to cruise the internet for a hour or so, I couldnt get as many chuckles,.. Here anyway, No stories about a chicken in Cambodia dieing and a call to bug out,security level Defcon 1 activated, prepair to shoot the paper boy when he approches....Oh and just in case I forget that is the same story, different chicken ( I would hope) though, over and over, last month, last year (s)or Obama comming for your guns, with his Muslum brotherhood ..again....or maybe that was with the Shrinners, dont you turn your back on either..Those Shrinners nothing they wont do......anybody else notice? So less noise and you can start to see some signal..bobbing about. Some I think can swim in a sea of noise and find signal (c5), but that only comes with lots of experience , and how they could have the patience is beyond me.I am just going to go out on a limb Maybey its time signal is wanted, maybe some of you in Alberta want more than the chance to get together and buy books or vids or other, or asked to join some network,sign up for something,have your data collected for future/present marketing, or be used as a prop in one way or another..In fact I bet some even fully new to the idea of more durable, secure living must think its almost like a script being read back to them sometimes in the pepper movement..., and not even a different script, see my thought on renuable ignorance. So I am actualy just here cause I had a different idea to suggest on something else I still have to get to but while Im getting that thought done I am just going to say if you guys want to change the narative a good time to start is while the noise is lower... smash that scrip and write your own and with that thought since Its Alberta, and I care most about where I live here are just a few quick thoughts on that off the top ..toward that direction...for you all to run with, how about by county, map it out.. resources whats where? coal where is it,who is selling. Wood where can you cut, whats private whats public..what can you get away with where.
Counties what ones are known to be cooperative to owner builders lets identify them! Code enforcement whats been the experience again by county, what bylaws have people run into regarding solar/wind in Alberta.How to get around that dreaded "Permited" structure clause.
Insurance how to comply and still do what we want by example. Selling a big one for alternative type living structures. Transportation at least North South, of this province who's going this way regular (lots), set up emergency alternate transportation options.Same east west. Your all going to the hospital at some point and this is a big Province who is set up near the major cities that could let someone pull up a rv or camper in the back 40 if they were from way out of town and had to hang around needing treatment for a month.
Skills we got em. Lots. Start stepping up. Electricians where are you? can you be available to answer questions by phone to help a party prepper out when he is building his own house..Carpenters come on, same thing step up help some of the owner builders, they often just need a little guidance. Welders gee I dont know if we have any in Alberta, but how about it guys maybe be available to drop your tailgate for a couple guys (gals)to pop over for a couple hours and teach a few basics.Hunters do you mind a guy or two watching/helping dress out, butcher your game?
Heavy/light equipment What do you have, where? lets do busness with each other.
Appliances and mods what have you been doing? I got billion of em add yours.
Call me crazzy but I kind like that narative. God damnt it the meth is boiling over on stove again.. gotta go.. the internet and bs still coming.

Major %#^k up!

Just adding/Just noticed Iooks like whole topic sections added sometime around end of 2012, didnt see that before tonight, didnt realize that had been added as I havent really looked around in years just popped into the provinces section now and again, if you go into provinces though none of that stuff comes up, so a guy in Alberta doesnt get to see there is a fellow nearby posting about something that may be of interest and value to him in say alternative energy unless he goes in there, but in my case it looks like I was asleep at the switch and missed all the topic headings at the very top thinking the posts from them will appear in the province sections from which they were posted (like on many/most boards). So it looks like his area is dead for signal,which is why I only seen the noise dropping in the provinces sections but not the signal rising much, the signal was rising in the other sections, so some of what I was complaning about, is way better. Anyone else miss this or just me? likely regulars havent missed this, members likely havent, but someone who comes by once to check things out may just click into thier province just see a few posts of general disscussion and think as I did, where is the " signal" from thier area (Signal= alternatine energy,barter, comunication)
Still a problem though, shouldnt you be able to go into your province and see the post of those in those other (signal)sections who have listed thier province, otherwise someone nearby you could be asking for assistance with a electrical issue in AE but a guy in the same province maybe close by will have no idea unless he has gone into the section where the post was made. Is it just me who thinks this isnt right and a problem? I think a little code here would help a lot.

So I will leave the top part of my post up rather than delete or change, but leaving the site this way makes it harder for people in the same area to get together and be aware of whats happening, so the site is harder to use than it needs be.
Now I have to go into the sections and read more and maybe find there that people have been questioning things on this board, and if so will I be able to get my foot out
