3:00 am 😯 ....yup....wish i were sleeping....but there is a constant, loud, very unusual sound that is coming from (as best as i can tell) West of Edmonton...
anybody else finding this out of the ordinary??? I leave all my windows wide open all summer long, so i am very accustomed to hearing the different sounds all night...this is different...and too loud to be nothing...i didn't notice exactly when it started, but it was definitely happening yesterday as well...
...I thought the aliens had finished building their underground base near Stony Plain??! 😆
does anybody have a clue as to what this could be? Is anybody else hearing anything like this anywhere else? Just as a little reminder:

It's been going on too long to be someone flying one of those little electric planes....it's smacking a little too much like War of the Worlds... 😮
OK maybe i have studied too many conspiracy theories....but this is ODD.....

deleau...does it sound sort of like an explosion that kind of booms against your house? We work from home in South Edmonton and have had occasional almost sonic boom sounds that shake the house and seem to come through the ground or at low levels. All the neighbours hear it and no one can iosolate where the sound is coming from, there are no disruptions in traffic, no obvious accidents anywhere in the vicinity or construction nearby. We have been hearing it a couple of times a week throughout the summer, and there is never any mention of it on the news or anywhere else.

I live west of Stony and have heard these sounds on and off since Thursday. It sounds alot like a C-130 taxiing. I wrote it off to the nearby trains rolling through. I can't tell you how unsettling it is to hear the exact sound worldwide on that Bear video. Hoax or not, freaks my wife and I right out.

This is exactly what it sounds like, Susannah, except the one i heard was a very constant, long drawn out sound....for hours.... 😡
...(just by the nature of modern life) there is an attack on us with sound frequencies...there are theories that we are being programmed to respond to different pitches, patterns, frequencies, etc.

@ morningcoffee:
It took me a while to really register the sound....it seems more like just a constant drone....like if you are in a tiny plane, and listening to the hum of the engine...but it just goes on for hours....with intermittent breaks....it was going on during the day Sunday, but i wasn't really mindful of it...at first i did think it was some sort of construction, and i peripherally recall that there were a lot of booms... although i normally cannot hear trains from my home, it almost sounded like train cars slamming together, even though i have no idea what that would sound like....I totally get that you cannot isolate where the sound is coming from....it is so weird....i have a pretty well trained ear, and i am completely baffled....as for it not being mentioned in the news, i am surprised as well...i was so sure i would hear something on the radio this morning...oh wait....i'm not surprised at all! 😉

@bitbybit:
Hey bit! I am so glad to know you have been hearing the sounds since Thursday, because i really could swear i've been hearing them for some time...it's just not something i really noticed until it jolted me awake this morning... At that point there was no mistaking what i was hearing....when this happened earlier this year, i spent hours checking out the information from around the world...I really hoped i would never hear it for myself......There is no hoax about this...many credible people have reported hearing it, and have also recorded it...And i am quite aware of several different theories on this...I am definitely not going to go into any of them though...our planet is going to go through a very major shift this year...it is just scientific fact...but you can also throw in a few conspiracy theories...basically, one thing i am pretty sure about: there is nothing good about these sounds... 🙁

I am here with my window open, and it is literally just constant, but barely discernible now.... i honestly don't think the average person is going to be aware of it...( edit: it's Tuesday now, and again, i was hearing it in the wee hours...)

whatever it is, I'm creeped out just hearing it on video...I can't even imagine what it sounds like in real life.

Deleau, you won't even give us a FEW ideas on what you're thinking they are? Hmm??? Inquiring minds need to know...

Thank you Susannah for the link, http://geochangemag.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=142:strange-sounds-in-sky-explained-by-scientists-&catid=1:global-news&Itemid=9

This is the first site that I have seen that offer plausible scientific explanations as to probable sources. It doesn't mean that either of them are correct neither does it suggest why these phenomena are occurring at this time.

I think we have all noticed drastic changes in weather trends over the last few years that seem to be accelerating and certainly an increase in the number of larger magnitude earthquakes. In fact a general increase in geologic and geomagnetic activity. Although most official sites seem to dispute this.

When members of this forum start to report on the phenomena first hand we know something is amiss. I think that this and related incidents should be watched closely.

Often times I feel a sense of guilt at the money I spend prepping that could go to a dozen other must-be-done issues around our property. So many times I've stood in a gun or grocery store wondering what I'm doing and struggling to justify those bags of powdered milk and rice or that crate of ammo (and walked out). Something like this, whether it can be explained scientifically or not, impacts the 'reptile' side of my brain and gives me the reason prep. On Saturday as I listened it really hit me that when our SHTF event occurs I think I could make it 6 months with some struggle. And winter is coming. What a bi@ch that would be.

My thought is it has something to do with all the wireless signals that stream through our air. But I don't really care. I caught it last night again at 9:30 and it lasted for about 40 minutes at mid-range and the last several minutes quite loud. I hit the dollar store yesterday and stretched $50 out until it screamed. 😮

Thanks Deleau for bringing this to our attention. I posted a link to thread in General Discussions. I hope that we might get feedback from people globally on this phenomena.

Betcha anything its like those crop circles that everyone thought were from aliens. Only to be proven that it was a group of students going around the country messing with people. I know I would since people are so easily frightened by what they do not know. If it is planned we will not learn that we can be messed with, since it will happen again.

Hmmmmm...2 explanations.
Increased solar activity or earth's core slipping.
One would thing that if it were due to solar activity, there would have been reports at the last solar maximum.
That would lead us to believe that it is related to the earth's core...but, if that is the case, then why have I never heard this in Quebec...or why has it not been heard all around the globe at the same time?

The polar shifting is a natural and recurring event, and the last time it happened was way before recorded history.
Was this the cause of dinosaur extinction?
Who knows...it's not like we can find a caveman and ask "did you hear a strange noise just before the dinosaurs started turning into fossil fuels?"

Either way, all the possible explanations that have been offered have happened before and the earth is still here.

There is a third explanation though...that it is all a hoax.
If that is what I were advocating, I would then have to call deleau a liar...something I am not prepared to do.

We have been hearing the boom sound in Millwoods all summer. It does sound like trains running into each other somewhat but seems to come through the basement walls like a shock wave hitting the west side of our house. We have talked to neighbours who are trying to figure out what made the strange sound, so it isn't just us hearing it out here. We have seen other neighbours wandering around looking to see what it was as well. It is a little upsetting when you can't find anything out of the ordinary that you can blame.
