Strange Sounds West of Edmonton??

I'm ex-military and I've heard and saw all kinds of crazy things and I've never heard that before ever. it's definintely not aircraft,vehicle that I know of.

I'd heard of the Conklin sound last year. I notice that in all those compilation videos, the sounds are basically limited to two: 1) The screeching metallic wail-like sound; and 2) the low-pitched, groaning, 'thrum'. In fact, in more than one clip, I'd have to argue that the 'sound' was identical- so much so that I'd be inclined to say it had been dubbed over the initial audio. I noticed that in most of the videos, rarely did anyone speak. If there was any talk, it did not sound like people incredulous or concerned by what they were hearing.

Regardless, I've spent enough time in Edmonton and Leduc to offer one opinion- trains/railyards. I've been to and had to sleep near both. Old, creaky steel-bodied and framed railcars, with the weight being carried on them, and on the tracks, make those sounds when being shunted, or trains split and reassembled into longer strings. With the length of modern trains heading to and from port, these sounds can and will travel a great distance, especially in colder weather like now. Anyone from Spruce Grove to Leduc is close enough to hear such if conditions are right. And you will ALWAYS hear more at night- noise pollution is something many city dwellers don't even think about. This could (I said COULD) explain sound number 1.

Sound two, to me, sounds like a very large stringed instrument. And as others here and on those blogs have mentioned, it sounds very much like the sound effects from War of the Worlds (the Tom Cruise version). One thing I noticed about almost every clip that contained that particular sound, was the presence of power lines or power line towers in the distance. On windy days, if from the right direction and the right windspeed, those lines become massive guitar/bass/cello strings, for lack of a better analogy. Those lines are under a massive amount of tension, even short ones that connect a home to a power pole- I've had to repair them in the past, and it's no small feat. I would offer that as a possible explanation of what I termed Sound 2.

I don't get it? It looks to me like people have given your little problem way more time and attention than it deserves, yet you have either discounted or dismissed previous suggestions and seem to want this thread to continue ad-nauseum. Then when Gravlore suggests that it is his 'hot air' you respond with a little hot air of your own. Given that we are forbidden from writing about "conspiracy theories", and given further that you are not interested in suggestions rooted in reality, I can only assume that you are either waiting for someone to confirm something a little further out there, or that it's the governments doing. My suggestion... Move. Mind you, I don't really think that this will help because I suspect that the strange sounds may just be side effects from ingesting hydrogen peroxide.

I thought the whole point of this website was for people to contribute something substantial and logical...this post INITIALLY was me asking if anybody ELSE had been hearing these sounds...I wasn't exactly asking people who hadn't even heard them what they thought they were/are...this seemed hard for most to figure out...why on EARTH anybody else who had nothing of substance to contribute felt/feels a need to continually put in their two cents worth is BEYOND me....When you see i have re-posted in here, WHY DO YOU COME IN AND READ IT???....MOVE ON...there are literally hundreds of other posts you can write in and put in your 'expertise' or hilarious sense of humor in...or better yet, start your own...why bother here? When I re-posted that I was hearing the sounds again, this was AGAIN directed at people who may ALSO be hearing them... As you can see, i was NOT the only person to hear things, and comments should have just been left to those who have something of worth to say...not flippant, stupid things...I have not given anyone here that lack of respect... and had others just 'moved along', this post wouldn't have gotten so bloody ridiculous...Oh, and all those blissfully ignorant people you are referring to? I believe y'all call them 'the sheeple'...so think again.

Waking the sleeping giant! I get up this morning, and eventually become conscious of the fact that I am hearing this annoying/unusual sound again, and my first thought is back to this post, and how I should get on here and say "They're baaack!" But knowing how that might wake up the wrath of Antsy, I thought better! So what are the chances that I check my emails, and there is one from the IPN THIS EXACT MORNING saying we haven't seen you in a long time, check back in, etc. Etc.??! I've never received one of these before. So knowing there are no coincidences, here I post... and where better than on this classic trouble maker! Hope you're all Blessed and ready for utter chaos! I basically have given up on prepping... no more room for anything!! Now I pray that a big meteor just lands right on me when the time comes! 😆 Thanking you in advance, Jesus!
