I just wasnt on the ball........loaded up the wood stove, been burning 6x6 x21 inch long spruce cut offs.. I just wasnt on the ball and closed the door on a 22.5 inch long piece. about .5 of a inch longer than the stove...cracked my glass...So I will be in Edmonton on Tuesday, anyone know of a place to buy a piece, I can cut it to fit as I have a wet cutting table for ceramic tile, and it should cut glass no problem, I know I could look up the manufacturer and order for them but that could take too long..would rather fab my own if possible...

I think you'll need tempered glass to replace that. A typical piece of float you cut on your own will crack under the heat? Cant "really" cut tempered glass either...
That really sucks....
The problem with tempered is they would have to order it. And with the curves in that door your almost better bringing the door in to them to measure it and get it on order.
Is it worth contacting the manufacturer to get a price and delivery time? What about cutting a piece of metal to insert until your glass comes in.....You wouldnt see the fire but at least have a working stove. Most metal shops could have that cut quickly...for the right price maybe even do it for you that day?
And I dont wanna be a wet blanket...but if your altering the unit and using glazing or something not from the original manufacturer...god forbid there is a fire...any issues with your insurance company or anything?
Truly sucks when that happens though...

Well I just learned a few things. Did a quick search on the glass
http://www.woodstove-fireplaceglass.com/
If the glass broke in a million pieces then is a tempered glass. To learn more about Tempered glass click here. Tempered glass is typically found in fireplaces, and should NEVER be used in wood stoves.
If the glass just cracked, or broke out in bigger chunks then it is known as a glass-ceramic. These products are commonly known as PyroCeram®(not Pyroceran), Robax or Neoceram - just different brand names for the same type of product. On this site we use the term PyroCeram®. The product we sell on this site, PyroCeram®, is made by Corning. The thickness of Pyroceram is 3/16", the most commonly used type of glass used in wood stoves.
To learn more about Pyroceram click here.
If the glass is paper thin, not very common any more, but is in some really old wood stove units, then it is called Mica or isinglass.

- 3rd - What kind of heat does your unit put out? Is it a gas unit, using natural gas or propane? A wood burner that is just for looks? Or an air tight wood burner that produces over 600 degrees?
thecrownsown looks like your right, I have a saw for cutting marble and tile and thought that would work but from what I am reading it doesnt look like it, with the name and model on the back I cant read it, so I will go into canadian tire and see if I can get it there, they still sell this model...
but if your altering the unit and using glazing or something not from the original manufacturer...god forbid there is a fire...any issues with your insurance company or anything?
Im my insurance company, .....and this stove (as many do) wouldnt work right brand new without modification. out of the box the door did not shut propper...I had to weld on a new pivot for the doors hinge and move the door over a half inch so it would close tight.
See the fire in the box...you wont get that as it come from the factory, again that took "adjustment" , that base, it doesnt come like that from the factory ( holds a years worth of ash)... I only bought it cause it was on sale for 699.00 last year(1/2 price) and it is of very heavy steel construction, and I could put large pieces in it..after my adjustments it now works great 12 hour burn times, has a good draw. anyway off I go to canadian tire to see what I can find...cant shut it down as It was -20 last night...I need to keep it going

Does the pedestol double as an ash removal too? If not, I'd be modifying it to do so as that would be a nice mod...you build a tip door trap under the log rack and brush the ash thru. The ash compacts below and you open a side door and scoop the compacted ash into a pail. Nice and easy cleaning system and that unit looks perfect for it.(if it doesn't have one already).
Hmmm , do I see the fire extinguisher behind the pedistal ? If there was a fire, I would want safer access 😆
The glass fron an oven door works fine
broke one in my old woodstove and went to get replacement
they cut one out of a oven glass been in for 10years works fine

He can get one of them from the dump...I shop there all the time, in fact so do the rich as I see many with fur coats on while I'm at the dump. But their so darned busy shopping that they always seem to down on all 4's 😕 hmmmm....
Every ct I went to was out of stock on this model so I couldn't get the data off a floor model... I will get by as is for now...That is good out of the box thinking supermag
Goldie,.. that's not the only extinguisher. In fact over the years I have bought up all the old automatic carbon tet extiguihsers I could find..They are mounted up in the attic the length of the house and a few inside the house over wood stoves, and in the kitchen. Carbon tet..that was great stuff... I even had a parts washer with that in it just for washing my hands.I used to be able to buy it in 5 gallon pails...and asbestos cloth...I remember buying that by the roll from Maclouds, ..I am getting old.
Im having real bad luck I broke a gear in the snowblower, one of the gears that rotates the impellers..the snowblower I bought on sale for 600.00....a new output drive costs 300.00 and it takes 5-6 weeks to get.... somedays it doesn't pay to get up..

Ok. I found my model on the floor of CT in Leduc. Took down the model of my stove, and identified the part number for the glass......Went on line, ordered the part.....two weeks and 180.00 dollars later I get a ash box 😡
I drive to metal supermarkets and pic up a piece of 1/8 inch perf plate for 18.00. spend a hour cutting two pieces ( grinder and zip disk) so I can sandwich the broken glass between these two pieces of metal, took a bit to get the holes to line up perfect. Now no more worries.... I like this...looks kind of mad maxish.
