Hello. My name is Aaron. I am looking for preppers in the area who would potentially like to meetup and educate eachother on how to best prepare for potential coming disaster.

Some of the things Ive been doing to prepare is learning how to grow my veggies, learning how to hunt, learning the best escape routes to get out of dodge once the @#$% hits the fan. Ive also been studying self defence, as its become increasingly clear how defenceless the general population here in Canada is. Im taling about the people being unarmed vs the armed military, what chance do we have? Maybe not much, but there are still options.
Im interested in learning more about off grid power options. Im also interested in meeting people who have other valuble tools to bring to the game in case we need to join together in "tribes" in order to survive.
All advice appreciated. Thanks. You can reach me here or at aaronbouge(at)yahoo(dot)com

Hi Aaron. You are a long way from where I live west of Williams Lake, but wanted to encourage you in your efforts. Certainly a must is to learn new skills. I grew up on a farm in NS but had to unlearn most of what I knew. The climate here is semi-arid and zone 3. It has crossed my mind you might want to make plans to get out of your area before you have to. No traffic can move from Lower mainland during a natural disaster. A financial collapse (highly likely), well then your roads should be passable.
