Our waste transfer station, aka village dump, has a reuse shack for items that people want to get rid of but are too good to be classified as 'garbage'.
It's been a great source for old recliners, chairs, TV's, tables, and you name it. Two weeks ago I grabbed a fully functional computer, maybe 5 years old, that was only missing part of the case.
I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers.
Freecycling (Free Recycling) is a great way to keep items out of the landfill. It also gives the donor the knowledge that someone else is going to get some use out of the item. We have done it at our landfill site for a number years. It is very popular and includes just about everything from kids bikes to furniture. Some of the items that are given away are just like new. I have used it as a source of electronic parts that would otherwise be difficult to obtain.

Things I say are my opinion, which is like belly buttons everybody has one.
Anything I say is not meant to anger or offend just to encourage discussion between adults.
Gotta them thrift stores.
The difference between a man and a warrior is simple, a warrior will stand between harm and all others.
