An earthquake of magnitude 7.9 struck the Philippines At approximately 9:00am EST. Still waiting for details. A tsunami warning has been issued.

Thats a few this week that are notable. El Salvador, Near Iceland had a 6.6 and now this one. Plates are a shiftin.

Agreed, there do seem to be a lot of large earthquakes lately. This was was originally reported as a 7.9 but later downgraded to a 7.6. Does not seem like it caused to much damage.
