Stumbled upon this stuff accidentally while researching Ukraine's civil state at the moment... I couldn't find mention of it on here - sorry if this has been discussed already....
About Soylent: The creators "claim" this is a complete food source free of all the carcinogens and toxins in today's food. Just add water and you have a pure, complete meal. This reminded me of the nutritious grey slurry that was consumed aboard the ship in the movie "The Matrix".
If this is as complete and nutritious as they claim with a several year shelf life - I nominate it as a staple item for my food stores. It has quite a following and has received over 2 million in donations and awards just to get it up and running. It makes sense economically and environmentally in my opinion.

I am a huge skeptic; I will be trying the 1 month supply once they start shipping to Canada. Prices should drop as popularity increases I hope.

Anyone had any success/horrific experiences with strictly liquid diets? (there is some fiber in this, FYI)

can you be 100% sure what it is made of? I would prefer to continue to stock up on "whole food vitamin/mineral plus" I get from Dr. Mercola...to supplement anything I may be missing from my food storage or what I grow. Reminds me of the movie "Soylent Green" (they tell us through film what is going to happen to us) ...coincidence that they have named this product right from out of the movie? I think not...also anything with soy should be avoided~

Unless I grow something or shoot something myself I will never know what it is made of. I guess a deer can eat god-knows-what and I wouldn't know mind you....
I think the name is actually from that movie, an accurate prediction according to many. How do you know exactly what was sprayed on your whole food vitamin/mineral plus? Or what sort of feces/fertilizer it was grown in?

And I'm glad you did, I'm actually glad you showed me those vitamins. I was just trying to remain optimistic about it that's all. If I had faith in our food supply and society I wouldn't be here.

I use the Mercola Products Canada site. The only liquid meals I know that is good is green juices/fruit juices made from fresh whole food.
Very expensive here and not available daily in times of trouble that is why I like these vitamins.
