Ok folks, started prepping a little bit ago, and have a great BOB/get home bag. Will post pictures and content for it later for input and help on that. it works great for my vehical if I am traveling for work in it....however the bad news is that I also travel via Air fairly often and really need to figure out a Air Travel type bug out bag. Something that would fit inside a checked suitcase for me to take along. I had once come across a video that discussed this, but think I could find it again....of course not. Anyone with some experience with this, or some input and help would be HUGELY helpful. Do not want to wind up out in Vancouver, Winnipeg, or even the US with nothing but work cloths and a long journey home.
Thanks in advance all!
This is a real puzzler to me. What CAN you take on the plane? (I won't fly anymore, hate the whole thing: security check, cramped seating, people, etc.) But I have put a lot of thought into this question, so here goes. Those paracord bracelets seem safe to get by security, how about a paracord necklace with a large (distracting) polished stone as bling? (a macrame belt?) 😆 A small 1st aid kit in a baggie: bandaids, polysporin, butterfly strips, etc. Don't know if it is possible to sneak things like a single razor blade in the lining of a glasses case or steel-toed boots or one of those rfid wallet cases.
What do you think that you'd need, a compass and map? Water filtering cup? What type of scenario are you thinking of? A crash and having to walk out of the woods, a sudden collapse of civilization while you're 3,000 miles from home, getting mugged?
Something just came to mind as I was thinking about a little 1st aid kit is tweezers, are there plastic tweezers? Like those plastic knives used to chop lettuce.
Well, gotta get going to work, will be thinking on this some more.
