Potentially a double edged sword. There is a lot of material on the pros & cons, but if the plan is to have this as a last step before death in TEOTWAWKI then sure, why not.
In any local / regional SHTF it may be better to exit the area (if possible) and seek professional help.
Without lab assistance it won't be possible to know which bacteria or groups of bacteria are causing the infection what the appropriate drugs & dosage would be.
