Ok Preppers - let's duke it out. I'll throw the first punch.
If Mitt Romney is elected President of the United States the world as we know it is over. World War III will begin and there won't be a safe place to hide anywhere.

I think whoever wins the will shit will hit the fan as the power belongs to the shadows behind the sceans.
so preping up is all we can do bro.
take care
ukjeff

Haven't been paying too much attention to this as I've been watching over my back fence at the 'Sabre-Rattling' going on in the South China Sea.
Some serious players on that field with more on the side-line as reserves - waiting.
The main players ATM are China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thialand and Indonesia - all claiming areas in the South and east China seas.
Some oil/gas and resource rich little attols and islands are in contention ATM.

Is Romney still in contention???

I'm old, tired and crotchety - what's your excuse???

This idea that Obama is some sort of hero and trying to rectify all the problems in America (and perhaps the world) is the biggest fattest lie ever and that somehow taxing the rich more (who already make up almost 60%) of America's tax revenue is going to solve the American Debt problem is just bad math. And if you actually read his tax policy it effects small businesses the most, you know the guy you are, or you work for, not the big corporate fat cats that make billions. Just the guy's who are making 250,000 to 1000000. This is not a pro Romney speech, the point is that no matter who wins, it's the powers behind the scenes that are in control. The most honest thing G W Bush ever said was, The person who gets to sit behind this desk will realize very quickly how much there hands are tied. War is coming whether its Barrack or Romney, the Global elites realize the only way to fix the global economy is WWIII.
On a side note, it really irritates me when Obamaites pull the race card claiming Americans are so racist or they would have no issue with Obama. Let's think about that for a second, A man who in college changed his name to Barrack Hussein Obama, was born in Hawaii, raised in Indonesia, in a house that was practically a zoo full of exotic animals, didn't set foot on American mainland until he was 17 year's old, and is half black, half white was voted in as President of the USA by a majority vote, yet somehow American's are racist? I'm not buying any of that crap at all. That's like the rest of Canada saying Alberta is all racists and rednecks when we have the first muslim mayor, and have elected more first time woman political positions then anywhere else in the country? Just look up the facts, its amazing what you can learn.
The underlining problem in both our countries is big fat swollen government. Remember the day's when you could slaughter a pig and give it to your neighbor without being arrested for breaking the law, or you could sell milk to your neighbor without being arrested.

In general, American politics is popcorn fair for me. I sit back with a nice big bowl of popcorn, point, laugh and generally enjoy the gong show. One thing I have noticed, and I see it even in this thread is recently (last decade or so) we've had an extreme polarization of party views. It doesn't seem to matter who's in the driver's seat, people have their chosen party, and take it as an inalienable right to vilify, slander, name-call, mud-sling and generally tear down both the opposite party, and anyone who supports it.

Does anyone else feel both parties (and their supporters) would have more credit if instead of howling at the other guys, they discussed why their platform was good? And not just in relation to whatever those devil-loving, degenerate, racist, beatnik, slimeballs on the other side were doing?

I will be worried if US will have a president that is wondering why airplane windows don't open. What if he wonders what that red button in the suitcase does?

I'm thinking Obama is the better choice, but not because he can fix the problems, but because he will lessen the chance of a major disaster... He's slightly more honest about the problems in the US, Romney just wants to get back to the status quo. Romney might very well jump start the economy faster than Obama, but he won't address the roots of any of the problems down there.

I had great hopes for Obama when he was first elected. Unfortunately he has not been able, or apparently willing, to tackle the economic problems. I think that his re-election would spell financial armageddon for the US. After that all points are moot.
