Pasta, tea, beans and I broke down and bought bread to dry.

Also got a larger cooler on wheels, ice packs, manual food processor, 5 gallon water jug with a spigot. Hoping to pick up 3 rain barrels tomorrow at the city sale.

I ordered the Royal Berkey. They have them for $12.00 more than the Big Berky. Apparently the Bigs are out of stock right now so thats the deal. Pretty good I think.

Just got me a kerosene heater, 10 yr old but only once used. The old lady that bought it got paranoid about CO poisoning, and put it away, I got it for $10, a big "Candle Kerosene Heater ( WKH-3450 ) (Radiant 1250 BTU)".

Thanks anita, I was over the moon when I found out!
Very nice scores Oldschool and ranger! I am very excited for yard sale season. Last year we did pretty good, so hoping for another good 'find' year! This is one life style that can be expensive and its amazing what people get rid of sometimes.
This year I am planning on focusing a lot of the garden and hopefully getting a ton of canning done!

Split & stacked a cord of wood today.
Also, stirred up one of the garden plots and worked on that nasty cedar stump some more...almost at ground level now.
Found an add on kijiji for 200 free mason jars...various sizes and am now waiting for a reply (fingers crossed)
Getting anxious for gardening season...soon, real soon!

Finally organizing my food stores today. Moving long term shtf food from the garage into clean pails and down into the crawl space. Here on the rock we don't have basements, we have a 3.5' space under the house. Perfect stash. Then all the grab and go foods are in pails/bins in the garage easy to grab! Yay progress!

I think we were shopping at the same place as Dandy, as we received a box of tin cans from costco and a case of MRE's from costco this week as well.

I bought a two-handed machete last weekend but can't recall if I posted that yet or not.

We've been putting off buying up all the 2 for 1 sales at the grocery store as we are packing to move and don't want extra boxes to carry... it makes me feel like I'm cheating on a girlfriend when I walk past a good deal (the shelving unit might find out and get angry)... 😮
