Solar oven plus four lidded pans - barely used. $30! Score - gonna try bread in it this weekend if the weather holds
Did that today...the kids love 'em!
Ya I went with my daughter...and may have also put my name on 2 baby goats. lol
Bees ! Hive arrives this weekend .... Oh lovely honey!
Yum. I've just recently rekindled my love for organic real honey. It's sooooo good.
Got some trees planted for future shade and privacy. Picked up a ham radio to start learning for an operator's license eventually. Spoke softly to the tomatoes and cucumbers as we watered them so that they'll be more generous this year...
Sling shot (catapult) and balls of steel (!). I can hear DH outside scaring off those pesky crows.
Gotta find the radio equipment before RUReally and Zzulu descend on me.......! Lol
I have newly hatched birds in my strawberry patch. Doh!
A few weeks ago I made cod & salmon jerky...yum! Plus I dehydrated a bunch of herbs.

Harvested Comfrey for salves.
You've Got To Be Tough, If You're Going To Be Stupid.
Don't be shy about posting images of the mobile shelter once completed... we are attempting to put together a demonstration on the Alberta forums, just outside Calgary in a few weekends.
Picked up some Quik-clot (emergency clotting bandage) a bandana, some cheap solar stakes (for garden currently) and some items for a survival tin: mini lighter, and compass. I have some suture bandages, as well as mylar bags, oxygen absorbers and gamma lids on their way, so I can get serious about food storage...currently all my dehydrated food is in ziplocs in the freezer.

Augmented the pasta stores, added a few different types of sauces ( dated 2016) , wet naps, fire starters, plastic cutlery, more seasonings, 2kg dried beans and dehydrated 1kg of peas and 1 kg of corn.
Harvested strawberries 🙂

Think I'll make some more rhubarb n pineapple jam tomorrow.... There's none left of the last batch.
Did a glorious 8-litre strawberry u-pick this morning and they are dehydrating now 🙂
Transitioning my dehydrated food from freezer to long-term storage
Made 3 more paracord bracelets & lanyards
Picked up some items to round out my survival tin, and food storage:
steri-strip closures
gamma lid
3xhome hardware 5 gallon buckets & lids
3 flats of 1L and 500 ml mason jars & lids
oxygen absorbers
mylar (space) blanket
mini flashlight
mini compass
mini pepper spray (I almost typed "prepper spray" by mistake... 😯 )
credit card multi-tool
extra Vit D & B12 supplements
powdered milk
AND..every women's favorite item...washable feminine pads (not a nice thought, but an even worse thought to not have anything..)
I was getting 2 appliances replaced (my 22 yrs old ones finally bit it) - so I took the opportunity to reorganize my storage area, check expiry dates on my food & water and rotate some stuff.

Went to the range last weekend. 😀
Picked weeds in the garden this weekend. 🙁
Since I need to take B12 for a specific type of anemia, I checked into which foods naturally have high B12 - canned fish, clams, etc, so I stocked up on those (as well as B12 tablets)
I also picked up several canned goods, and mylar'd several kilos of pasta, rice, flour, crackers. Wow was the flour ever messy 🙁 Maybe next time I will buy in larger quantity & put in a bucket. I stocked up on canned pumpkin for the pets, since that can stave off gastro upsets, but I was annoyed to find , once home, that their expiry date was May 2014 (2 months expired)

Last week we augmented the herb garden with Stevia, edible lavender, sage, tarragon, basil, thyme.
This week I did some more pasta, rice, oats, dried beans, canned goods, coffee, TP 🙂
Picked raspberries and strawberries
Weeded veggie beds and got another bucket of carrots going.
Put in new racking systems and started re-inventory ( home canned goods - including canning dates) and shop canned goods
Downloaded Prepper Pantry Guide to print ( bought it earlier this week) and made my binder.
