What are you building?

Drafters are a dime a dozen. Architects not so much. I mirror tradesman's question...watcha building? 🙂 Inquiring minds wanna know!

It comes down to complexity and money. If you are looking at a typical home and not getting too crazy about the requirements, an architectural technologist will do the trick. The same is true for the interior of an office or retail space (I think that this is where you are going with the current line of inquiry). To hire an architect says that you have really specific requirements, and money is not an object.

If you are proposing to build within someone's building, you may have to source engineers for the mechanical and electrical scopes of work. This is a typical requirement from landlords in order to protect their investments. The finishing layout is not quite so important though as they only last as long as the current tenant, and rarely involve structural changes.

As for being "judged" for what you want to build; don't worry about it. You ask someone to draw you a box. No one really cares what you plan on putting in the box; only that you can pay for its design and ultimately its construction.

Sounds interesting. If its a naval vessel, you want a naval engineering firm.

If your building something on land (enclosed facility id assume) you may need a variety of consultants like engineers and/or architects. If you want, I could give some assistance and direction.

If you are going to build it by cubits you may need a Rabbi instead of an architect.

Not sure if it matters on a public forum or privately, but what exactly do you want to build? Do you have a rough idea of size of building? Whats its application? And what are some of the things you envision? Do you have a piece of property chosen? What is your budget to build?

How would a space ship be practical tradesman lol
But don't have budget or property yet
Just wanting to build a facility that is air tight so will scrub the air with recycling systems and self contained water and food
Just seeing if it's possible
But now that I think about it a space ship would be cool I could fly it to the moon and back lol
