Hello from eastern Ontario...I am starting to prep a little late in the game, but I am starting never the less. I guess what I need to do is start with the basics. I have a secluded property where i hunt there is shelter there, but that's it. Where to begin on a tight budget?
Welcome from Haldimand County in Southern Ontario. It sounds like you have a basic pillar already. You still have a ways to go. Shelter is one thing. Being able to live there sustainably is something to strive for. You need a water source and method to ensure it is safe to drink. Food. Heat. Security. Build in layers and attempt to network with others of like mind in a way that does not open you up for abuse. There are many here with good ideas and tons of experience. Listen, contribute and learn. No sense trying to reinvent the wheel...LOL
I left out a few things...I have an unlimited water supply and the cabin has a wood stove. I also have a rifle and shotgun. I guess with turbulent times potentially ahead, I'm more worried about running out of time.. Thanks for the advice....
