It is always a wise idea to test out your plans on a regular basis because you never now what might happen. I like to test at least a part of my plans every three months. Today I am testing my backup plans for hydro. The power has been out here for about 7 hours and apperently it will not be on for another 3. This wasn't in my plans for today but the best tests are always those that you do not plan. So far the solar backup is working great so the next plan is to switch over to generators for couple of hours and put them through their paces.
So, ICRCC, how did your impromptu test go? Did you learn anything you didn't already know?
