Don't worry about the US numbers. Orange man wouldn't lie, and besides Clarence has vouched for him 😆
Scrounged, yuk yuk. Orange man bad, and who is good, our Arabian night princess? 🙄
No fear, I view all leaders with great critique.
Despite my sleeping with. A MAGA hat on at night and with Stars and Stripes comforter 😆 I too do not believe the numbers
It’s hilarious but sad that people screw around with the truth. Having been privileged to know truths, it’s maddening to see the lies, half truths or no comments going on. Some asshat doctor finally admitted what I have been saying since day one. That an N95 mask on a citizen on a bus... would work. He added the caveat, which I of course agree with, that it is ineffective if not fitted properly and that it is used properly! Full agreement with his statement, but all the BS wording around it not being needed is exactly that, it’s HS.
It’s a BS statement because they don’t have enough masks... in first place and we’re trying to play it down. Typical gov happy spin. Be it Orangeman bad or the dark princess of canada ( the one hiding, versus orange man still working 😯
Now, IF, governments were proactive... they would have been telling people to go get fitted and shown how to wear... now if People didn’t think it was needed, fine, but at least be proactive and offer it. Of course that would mean that governments would be acknowledging what I and many others have officially known for decades now!
So important we all remain calm, think logically and while you may never know if you are right, you must go with with what your brain and gut tell you, because sure as snot, others haven’t a flipping clue or are usually lying due to some agenda
I am done going into the big cities now. I will still stop by the smaller towns now and again, but I am mostly going to be sitting out this interesting time, and observing the action. I will be working but from home as I do anyway so not much will change for me.
One interesting observation is how much further ahead the population is in understanding what needs to be done, from those governing.

Peppercorn, no big cities for me either, but even the small one close by (~2000 people) was a goat rodeo today.
Shelves are empty. Looks like there were twice as much staff than usual, working like crazy to restock, but still not able to keep up.
Ironically, a lot of the crazed items were on sale this week, which didn't help...
We made our last purchase today and it was a private sale. Everything else is done for now. The wife and I are officially off work and will ride this out at home.
I have a few projects to keep me busy and will post them up as they happen.
My parents who got ill just after returning from Cuba on the 28th are now showing all the symptoms but of course can’t get a call back for testing. I’m keeping in contact, they have been pretty rough. This morning there was some improvement and I’ll check in again tomorrow. They secured enough stock to see them through a few weeks.
My thought for today...I am wondering how places like super store, food for less and such are going to stay open? I know they will get stock again but how will you get cashiers to man the tills when they will be forced to contact 100, maybe 1000s of people a day. When I stuck my head inside on Friday every cashier station was maned, I think 12-15 of them and the line up was nuts, If that was my job I would have already quit!

I am sorry about your parents and I hope they do get tested but the odds are that will be part of the large uncounted cases that seem to be flying under the radar.. I have heard directly from people that traveled, got sick, it fit, called and so forth and were told.. "where you traveled not on the list" so no test for you..
A nurse friend of mine said that she thinks that there is a mass amount of community spread already that will never make the stats, and that the only way we will be able to prove it, is in a year get folks blood tested to prove they have the immune response even though they never "officially" had it..
Its something we will only get the answers on long from now but I would be interested to see if she is right.
Glad you are in lock down.. Keep us posted..

If it gets to that point, it will be like the other countries.. only a limited amount allowed in, spacing between, cleaning between.. and from those I have spoken to.. they are like.. I have already been exposed, I hope to get it mild, get over it fast and going back to work..
That was something I had not thought of until she said it.. maybe others feel the same.

How about the fact that these cashiers are touching everything that you and the 1000 people after you buy?
Let's face it...this thing is unstoppable.

One thing there wasn't a run on, was beer and wine kits. Not too late to stock up...get your priorities right, enjoy this pandemic, you may not get another one.

Was out today and had Purell with me because I didn’t have hot water and a sink like the twits recommend one use because they failed to plan Asinine to prattle on about hand washing as you be bop around stores between office and home for 1.5 hours. 😆 😈
Word just went out, Schools are now closed in Alberta. I have been hearing of businesses closing or reducing hours all week. Even the local watering holes have cut back hours, you know its bad when that happens.

I think I posted a note about how time may be running out to get out of the cities. Wonder what our fellow prepared folks will be doing in NYC between now and next 48 hours. 😮

I am starting to like this Coronavirus response, social distancing is ok with me, in fact more please, sports announcers are going to have to get real jobs, bars are closed up so fewer drunks on the road, in fact fewer drivers everywhere I went today, parking was easy to find, I haven't had a telemarketing call all week, fewer airplanes buzzing overhead, and 60 dollars filled my f150 tank. Whats the downside again?
Oh yea, no more Hello Kitty plastic crap...I can live with that!

Had a good laugh to start the day. There is a ton of useless fluff jobs and sadly, over paid ones at that. Fuel should be as cheap as it is, we produce the blasted stuff.. but as this is about prepping, I digress.
From a prepping perspective, we could see both hatred directed towards us or appreciation.
The hatred will come from some jealous person like I experienced yesterday when stocking up on zip lock bags, a neighbor who knows you have power, garden....
While not revealing our situation we could if the situation presents itself, be the good neighbor and help others with the hacks we have learnt etc. we would anyways and will continue to do so, but if we can get the message through to them on the importance of prepping, we may just have a useful neighbor the next time instead of the dud we have now.
This event will amongst many other things, help identify our local sources of strength and risk. Stay safe.
