Hi folks, I'm new to the forum and figured I better introduce myself before I jump in and start posting in other topics on the board. I'm in the BC lower mainland, an older widow (early 60's) and have gained a fair bit of prepping and homesteading experience over the years.
I just found this forum a couple of days ago and was pleasantly surprised to see how many Canadians there are here. I'm still reading around on the forum and getting a feel for the tone and atmosphere here but from what I've seen so far it sure looks like a nice bunch of people. 😀 I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better and participating on the board as time allows.

DrDragon, I did read about the meetup tomorrow but already have other engagements that I don't think I can get out of. However, I am quite keen on the whole idea of local networking so I would like to attend the next meetup if there's one next month or later in the summer.
I hope you all have a great meeting tomorrow, and hopefully it will render some ideas, questions and suggestions that can be discussed here on the board afterwards.
