Hey guys, hows everyone's summer been? Hunting season is open for Archery, gardens are being collected, and back country trips are at their best this time of year with no bugs.

I thought maybe we can throw in a meet up. Perhaps in September, or we can try for early October? What does everyone think?

This winter, I'm planning to get more serious about my own staples food stock. And I was going to make some food orders through west Shield Outpost. Is anyone interested in some staple food group buys?

What say you?

Hey
Hope you summer was good.
Yes to getting together and I am also interested in a group buy of food. Sept and Oct are busy training months at work, but I will try to make any meeting.

P.

Ya my summer was ok. The trucks have been more of a headache than they should've been, but so it is.

I spoke to Al recently, and he's gonna be pretty busy the next couple months too, but if a day was set, he'd try to make it.

He's also interested in a group buy.

I have attached West Shield Outpost's price list for local bulk supply. Take a gander at it and let's see what everyone might like to package.

So anyone in for some packing? Or perhaps, I've been needing to go to the forest to dig up and transplant some trees. Is anyone interested in that? I have a truck and trailer

Super. I may or may not need to move it to the following Saturday the 15th. I might have to take a load out of town might not be back until Saturday evening. But I'm not sure yet.
What do you think? What would work best for you guys?

And would you like to pack beans or oats or rice, or dig up trees?

The dates don't matter to much to me. Just need a heads up. As to the preference of what we do. That doesn't matter much either. You choose what needs to prioritized.

Ok sure. Well, I'm hoping to hear back from some peeps. Perhaps, this being Thanksgiving weekend (i didn't realize until late last week), we can move things to the following Saturday the 15th.
I will pick up a bulk order of beans to pack (i figure beans are good to take into the bush or stock at home).
I did the figuring but lost the numbers, but one mylar pack of 1KG of beans with 2 O2 absorbers is about $4 something.

Alright, so I have the beans and have worked out the price.

1 Kg beans - $2.23 (compare at $2.99/kg at bulk barn)
1 10"x16" 5mil mylar bag $1.20
1 O2 absorber $0.35
Optional 5gal pails for $4

I'm not quite sure how many beans can fit in a bag. I'm hoping 2 kg.

I have a commercial sealer as well.

I look forward to see you guys on the 15th.

So I have the location nailed down at the Kathrine Friesen Center at 940 Notre Dame Ave. Right beside the First Mennonite Church of Winnipeg near Mcphillips and Notre Dame.
I look forward to seeing you guys again
